Rated 5 out of 5 by JMc from Great design! Less is more! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One of my biggest complaints with most drawer systems are too many pieces. WHeels, wheel stops, mirrored pieces. This thing is great, the base can go either way, the only thing that needs to go in properly is the basket and that is very easy to determine by the directions. My only complaint are the stainless steel screws. I put this under my sink, so it is kind of needed, but for other places it would have been nice for the screws to be a ferrous material to my drill could magnetically hold them in place.

Our new cabinets had built-in pull outs that were very expensive. This pull out from ClosetMaid was simple to install and makes a somewhat difficult older cabinet so much easier to use under our utility sink. I wouldn't hesitate to use others in the cabinets we kept. Great product.

However, there could be a modification in design if the unit could be changed to a perfect rectangular, top to bottom and front to back. 11.5" at bottom and 13" at top. So..., items that fit into the space may not fit into the organizer but still mostly functional for most types of items. For instance, some wider pots and pans that fit into the space may not fit into the organizer because bottom of organizer is 1 1/2' narrower than the top. Manufacturer should also notify buyer in description of product and/or at least in install instructions of the appropriate pilot drill bit size for easier install of wood screws provided. Otherwise, this product is better than what was in the space previously, easier to slide out items especially for older people to get to what is needed. With changes noted, this is a 5 instead of a 3-star rating from my perspective.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Burns from Simple But Very Effective [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You don’t think about the loss of space or the wasted time pulling items out of the the bottom of your cabinets, Or the fact that you forget about items in the back that you can’t reach or simply forget about. Well those items times are over. Meet the ClosetMaid Metal Pull-out Organizer. One of the most common sense but brilliant idea to come to market. Easy. To install. Comes with the four screws needed to secure it. The base has eight screw holes so you have choices. Sliding the tray into the base is very straight forward. You have one slider and one metal holding rod that secures the tray to the base. The finish is in white. The finish is flawless and thick so this will give years of lasting protection. This will now give access to all your items in the the back of your cabinet free up space.organize your cabinet makes it looks a lot neater and brings any home into the modern era. A great investment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by ericn222 from Worst of these I’ve ever installed [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited for this, as I have had great luck with lots of Closetmaid products. In the end it fell well short of expectations. It will not fit under most sinks due to p-trap (shelves too tall) or water line blockage (shelves too deep). I was discouraged but decided to install it in my basement workbench. The install was a pain. When screwing in the bottoms screws, the bracket tops get in the way and cause the drill to go off angle enough to strip the screw heads. Which brings me to the cheap hardware, with screw heads that stripped very easily. The shelves themselves slide in and out, but just plastic rubbing on metal. Nothing special. Ultimately the poor craftsmanship, sizing, and quality were just too much for the function to overcome. I’ve installed several other brands of these that were much, much better. I won’t avoid this brand for other closet stuff, but for these kinds of pull-out shelves I’ll stick with other brands and avoid these.
