This stair post for standard 42-in high Classic Railing is used in stair rail and to accommodate custom angle deck applications. Post is complete with 2.75-in square standard post cap and screwed on 4-in x 4-in base plate (0.25-in thickness). Parts and components meet or exceed the national building codes, as they are entirely made from a sturdy aluminum alloy with a premium black powder coat. This provides UV protection, maximum durability and lower maintenance. Always refer to your local Building Code for guidelines and limitations before you begin your railing and deck project. This easy-to-install component aluminum railing system is designed to meet your project requirements, meaning that no welding, gluing, painting or custom fabrication will be required for completion. Backed by a 20-year limited warranty on components, and a 10-year limited warranty on finish.

Rated 2 out of 5 by cf_99 from Find better elsewhere The regal railing system works as described, but know that for the same price you can find heavier walled posts, powder coated (instead of painted) in a much cleaner looking railing system at the other big box store. Quality and value just aren't there with the regal system.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bobboh from Terrible Wish I had not purchased. The whole railing system is a complete rip off. Every piece is sold individually with no literature on what you need. Started installing the glass to find out you need little rubber bumpers so it fits properly. Complete rip off- set up to guage the end consumer for every single piece you need. Classic big business move ripping off its customer every possible way they can. DO NOT PURCHASE
