Rated 5 out of 5 by Ohevett from new filter for old range What a difference a new filter makes! We moved in to our new to us home about 2 weeks ago. I wondered why the fan wasn't as responsive as my old one was. Then I looked up into the hood and saw that the filter was quite dirty... within an hour I went to Lowes, found the replacement and was back home with the new filter in place. I'm glad Lowes had what I needed. The fan works ever so much better now.

Rated 1 out of 5 by GroguFan from Doesn't Fit New Broan 42" Ductless Range Hood Bought a Broan 42" Convertible Range Hood in April 2021 to use DUCTLESS. Bought two of these filters at the same time to replace cheap metal one that comes with the unit. The rim around this filter is about six times the thickness of the metal-only filter that came with the unit. The small plastic clip on the range hood that holds the filter in place ONLY has space for the super-thin original one. As you can see in the photos, the original filter has a tiny little thin frame around it, and the plastic clip on the range hood was made for that thickness. We tried using both ends of the clip, too. No angle worked. No way to adapt it. Two different people have tried. I bought this hood BECAUSE it said you could purchase a charcoal filter. I got someone to install it before trying the new filter, though, assuming that HD and Broan knew what they were talking about. Hope I don't have to pay to have it uninstalled and installed again.Beware -- this is NOT compatible with Broan F400000 Range Hoods. (Nor did it fit on our old smaller Broan 30" that we just removed -- we tried it just now. Again, too thick for the little plastic clip.)
