Description
CertainTeed's Type X fire-resistant drywall panel is a dependable wall surface solution suitable for residential or commercial buildings. It features standard gypsum material over a heat-resistant core that inhibits the spread of flames. This gypsum plasterboard also uses bevelled edges that make it easier to fit into the installation space that you have chosen. The wall is compatible with both wood and steel frames and can be used in ceilings, and it is enclosed in ivory-coloured face paper and a strong liner back paper. Greenguard-certified, this drywall panel is a low-VOC product and does not significantly impact indoor air quality. Additionally, it accepts paint, primer, and wallpaper coverings.

- Features the GridMarX guidemarks on the board to allow for faster and more accurate installation

- Gypsum board is easily cut for quick installation, permitting painting or other decoration, and the installation of metal or wood trim almost immediately
- Fire-Shield Gypsum Board features a Type X core to provide additional fire resistance ratings when used in laboratory tested systems
- Ends are square cut and finished smooth
- Edges are tapered, allowing joints to be reinforced

Je possede un immeuble commercial (clinique) construit en 1963, dont les murs intérieurs sont faits de gypse 5/8. Ce gypse 5/8 est-il nécessairement de type X? Ou bien y avait-il en 1963 du gypse 5/8 qui n'était PAS de type X mais juste ordinaire ?
I am doing my basement roof , is it good enough to isolate sound from water pipes that I have there? thanks
