Description
CertainTeed Easi-Fil Dust Away drywall compound is ideal for filling and finishing drywall joints, trims and fasteners. Use it for all your drywall patch and repair jobs. This material can also be used on any interior gypsum board. Dust Away was manufactured using a special formula that reduces airborne dust by 70% compared with other compounds. When sanded, the dust clumps together and falls directly to the floor. This makes clean up easy and your lungs will appreciate it too. Comes in an easily stackable 2 L pail. Use it for all phases of the drywall process, whether you're looking to tape a wallboard joint or finish a corner trim!

Forms air bubbles
For some reason every time I apply it forms air bubbles. I tried heating the room no difference. Do not recommend..

Less dust
When sanding this compound the majority of the dust drops down to the floor and can easily be shop-vacuumed up. It does not eliminate the surface dust completely, but it does reduce it.

Compared to the original. I don't see why you would want to buy the original. Less of a clean up.

Hard truth from
Like applying shaving cream
Avoid for larger applications. Compound is the consistency of shaving cream and thus impossible to apply smoothly over large areas. Also full of air bubbles. Recommend for light skim coats only.

great compound
I have been using this compound for a few years ago and what I love about it is that once dry, I just wipe with a damp cloth to smooth it down and re apply if necessary..no dust, no mess and once it dries, very resistand, take paint beautifully. Love this better than the other products I have used..
