I need a noncombustable dry wall to frame a gas fireplace. What would I use?
You can use cement board and tile it. Maybe be a more costly way of doing it , but definitely a fire proof way of doing it and would have a nice feature around the fireplace

How heavy is this board, how do you cut this board and how do you install this board?.
The board weighs 3 lbs/sf, so 96 lbs for a 4x8 sheet. It is cut by scoring and snapping like you would with gypsum board. Installation instructions can be found in our construction guide. See web address: www.nationalgypsum.com/file/110831.pdf

solid product if you know what your doing
The other person who reviewed this product is a complete donkey. Why would you buy something that is wet or soggy in the first place? I bought this product and it worked way better than the competitors stuff which fell apart anytime it bumped against anything literally. It's solid and holds together well when cut.

Moldy and soft from the day 1
I bought this product at Rona Rigaud. The whole stock is stored outside under a leaky roof, so the boards were soggy and moldy. Add that to the original soft ciment board and you have a product that behaves like wet cardboard... No the best substrate for tiling.
