It was super comfortable to grip and use. Most of these tape dispensers end up getting caught and stuck where you rip it off and this one most certainly did not. I think that was my biggest takeaway about this product. The ones I've used in the past always gets stuck and it's a pain to operate. This one did not have any issues and worked extremely well. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

It was a bit confusing on how to set it up and where the tape goes. No instructions were seen. But once I got it, it was a breeze. It's low odor as well which is a need with my business(reptile breeder) shipping reptiles is hard enough I don't wanna add the smell of tape to it. It's thin tape but works and holds great no matter what weight the boxes are.

I loved the easy access to the tape when I needed it without having to fumble to get my grip. The tape is strong and dependable. It holds tightly to what I need and doesn't come loose, even after time has passed. The only downside is that the tape, while being very strong, was oftentimes difficult to rip off the dispenser. Dare I say it's "too" strong. However, this only serves the user well!

Rated 3 out of 5 by bhande from Just an OK Dispenser Works OK if you keep the tape perfectly straight and don't twist your hand even a little bit. If you do tape will come out unevenly and tears sometimes. If you do it right, it works well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by iamisay from Convenience [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never thought I needed a packaging tape gun until I got Duck Packaging Tape Gun with a comfortable foam handle, it makes taping my packages and boxes oh so easy. The tape gun sure beats the way I used to try and tape my boxes closed and find the end of tape to use. The Tape Gun makes it so convenient that I don’t have to pick at the end to try and find where to pull and always having to have my scissors next to me. Great job Duck!

Luckily this came just in time as my sister is in the process of moving. All you do is attach the roll of tape, peel it back and go up and under the rubber roll and across the metal piece. Make sure to take off the blade cover or you'll look like an idiot when it doesn't work. Just put it against the flaps of the cardboard box and run it along and move the blade down to cut it.

I have one of these I really like this it makes it so much easier to use my tape. This dispenser helps me to keep the tape from sticking back on the other tape and having to spend time looking where the tape starts. If you are a tape user you are really going to like this a lot and the handle is a comfortable handle easy to hold onto . If you buy one of these you will like it a lot.

My favorite features are the foam handle and quality metal frame. It is easy to use and change out the tape. The tape itself is a little thin, but does the job for small boxes. If you are moving, or just living in a COVID world like myself - you must be able to pack boxes efficiently!

It took me awhile to load it but once I figured it out it was easy. The foam handle is very comfortable and it is made very well. The blade is sharp and it cuts the tape really well. It is so much easier to use now when taping boxes because I can hold the dispenser with one hand and hold the box in place with the other hand. I recommend it!

Others are normally made of plastic and end up cracking which makes them useless. The foam handle is comfortable when having to use it continuously for packing up to move. The tape cuts easily with the built in cutter. It comes in handy when trying to tape up anything on your own - no extra hands needed.

The thing I didn't remember was how the tape was to be loaded on the dispenser when the roll ran out. Make it easy on yourself and go to: http://www.duckbrand.com/products/packaging-tapes/packaging-tape-guns where you will find a photo that illustrates it for you. Now it works perfectly. Just remember, the sticky side goes down, away from the roller. Good luck!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently used the Duck Foam Handle Tape Dispenser to help me with packing for a big move. The dispenser is sturdy with a comfortable foam grip that made hours of packing easier on my hands. The blade was also very sharp and didn't get stuck like other similar products. It also came with two rolls of tape. I would recommend this product to anyone that has many hours of packing in their future!

Only cuts the tape off if your just about exactly two inches over edge of box otherwise unravels and unravels while trying to get it to cut and then it is all curled and you've wasted a yard. The 900+ yard refill they sell wont fit on it. They don't sell a refill that will...The Scotch brand one we bought after this was used up moving works like a dream.

I would often get frustrated w/ using packing tape, as it would be time consuming to rip off the tape, cut it, and sometimes I accidentally rip only part of the tape, etc. This dispenser definitely helps make packing things easier, faster, and overall more convenient. I waste less tape overall too. Once my tape is loaded up, I now don't have to worry about ripping the tape off the roll every time. The foam grip is nice and comfortable (and functional so that it is non slip). The blade to cut is sharp and cuts well. The tape itself is durable and sticks well. My only wish is that there is maybe some sort of silicone part near the blade to stick onto the remaining tape that hangs off the end so that it stays in place.

It was a little tricky to load the tape in the dispenser but I figured it out. The tape is super strong and durable. I packed up several boxes with ease. The tape is very strong and heavy duty, much better than other brands I’ve used in the past. I have already purchased more tape refills. I will definitely buy this brand again.

I try to keep a dispenser around to make it easier. This foam handled dispenser is a great help. I can easily wrap tape around just about anything. The serrated blade makes cutting the tape a breeze. I like how comfortable the handle is. Definitely glad I have this handy tape dispenser.

The tape loads easily and does not get off track as we have had with other dispensers. The tape that comes with it is a good quality and seems like it would hold up to shipping whether by movers or delivery services. We recommend the Duck brand foam handle tape dispenser.

Works great for sealing boxes or other uses. The end of the tape stays in place and is ready to use, just slide it across the surface you want to apply tape and cut with the attached blade. The blade is sharp and protrudes, so do be careful when setting it down.

These were adequate for light DIY but by the end of the day the metal frames were slightly out of alignment from being tossed around, hitting the ground, etc. They fulfilled the need and the price didn't leave me regretting my purchase. BTW, the other tape guns I had were 4x the price and made for industrial warehouse work.

Using the tape dispenser was like a god send, it was so easy to hold and apply the tape to my box, it was almost like I wasted so much time before. I really like how the foam feels, it’s really comfortable in my hand and doesn’t feel harsh. I actually looked forward to mailing boxes.

The tape did not work that well for my purpose which was packing boxes to move but the dispenser worked fine. The tape stayed on the dispenser the whole time. The handle had a good grip on it and it was really easy to refill. I would recommend this tape dispenser just with a different brand of tape!

I have always just purchased the flimsy scotch dispensers which have worked fine, but this Duck dispenser is so much more comfortable to use with the foam handle. I noticed right away that this tape is stronger than the scotch ‘heavy duty’ shipping tape. It has a very sharp blade making it easy to tear, smooth operation (does not get stuck). Our son works at a hardware store, uses tape dispensers every day and says this is the best one he has tried…. One thing that could be improved would be to include instructions. It is not difficult but spent a long time figuring out how to thread the tape through properly. In the end, all we needed to do was remove the plastic cover over the blade but it took a while to figure that out. Highly recommend

The top body of the gun is metal, and the handle is thick plastic coated with foam. The tape stays inserted in the gun firmly, with no wiggle room or fear of it falling out. Tape rolls are held onto a plastic spinner that has a metal spring in the center. The spring can be tightened and loosened to change the speed in which the plastic spinner moves with the tape. The blades are sharp and rip the tape easily. I like the foam handle as I think it does add a certain amount of comfort while using it. Overall the build quality is great for the price. The tape that comes with it isnt the strongest so I would recommend if you are shipping anything or wanting to make sure the box is secure I would invest in stronger tape.

It seems to be well balanced and makes applying the tape easy. The tape, however, had a tendency to slide back on the roll, making it hard to start a new job. I watched some videos on it and hopefully with more experimenting and adjusting this dispenser will prove to be a handy addition to my household.
