Description
Complete a deck with this 8-step stair riser from Can-Cell. It provides a sturdy, versatile framework for home staircase projects. Achieve a floating stairs look with this 1-piece open riser or pair it with stringers for something more traditional. It's made of durable steel to support heavy loads. The riser is strong and lightweight, coming in under 25 lb. For weatherproofing, the treated steel has a black powder coating, which gives the deck stair riser a striking finish. The sleek powder coating is environmentally friendly. It's non-toxic and emits no VOCs during application or aging. With a powder-coated treatment, the steel becomes resistant to rust, corrosion and scratches, so the riser will stand up to the elements. The Can-Cell metal stair riser is safe to use indoors and outdoors. The Can-Cell stair riser is made in Canada.

Stair span is too great to be stable
I bought a set of 8-stair risers and installed them outside exiting a walled enclosure. The risers where set 24 inches apart and each step clad with two 2”x6” cedar planks held in place with 1” lag screws. The upper end was lag bolted to the Allan block wall.
The stairs were found to vibrate too much when someone of only 170 lbs walked down them.
I had to put in two vertical brace for additional support. It would have been better if they had used 2”x2” square tubing instead of the 1.5”x1.5” tubing used.

Missing info
Bought these to replace basement stairs as part of a renovation.
Description failed to say the tread is sized fro 2 2x6, not a 2x10, as expected. Total run was too long. Now have to sell and lose money and purchase more stringers somewhere else.
