Description

With its large 30-inch cooking surface and 5 sealed burners, this GE Café gas cooktop is versatile and ideal for everyday cooking. Handle sears and sautés with ease and boil water fast using the triple-ring burner of 20,000 BTU. The extra-large cast iron griddle provides ample space for cookware, while the convenient simmer burner provides low, even heat. The continuous surface makes it safe and easy to move cookware from one burner to another. The stainless steel knobs are backlit with white LED lights that let you know burners are on. Then we started to notice a gas smell coming from below it at all times and on top after using it. We called the company, and two weeks later they sent out a technician. He found that two of the five burners leaked gas. We have now been waiting another two weeks for replacement parts to come in. So, in the almost three months we’ve owned this stovetop, we haven’t even been able to use it for one month...and counting.

I bought my cooktop in 2020 and installed in spring of 2021 and 2 of my knobs are already damaged/peeling. I would expect quality knobs for the price I paid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jobim from Nice to have the fifth burner Still getting used to the stovetop because the knobs are opposite of what we had on our old stove. Instead of turning left to light the flame on this one, we turned right to light the flame on our old stove. The flame seems to be evenly spaced around the burner. We cooked paella in a big paella pan on the middle burner. It took a long time, but that was because it was supposed to go in the oven after initial cooking, but our new oven hasn't arrived yet. So we had no oven to put it in. We also have the downdraft fan which I'm loving. It's relatively quiet and hides away when we don't need it.

It doesn't clean well, and after a year I needed to replace knobs because finish was coming off. Now all the labels around the knobs are coming off. I do not use any harsh products or scrubs on it. Not so beautiful anymore. In addition, there is not enough room to actually use all the burners at one time.

I purchased the Copper knobs to match the copper theme and it turned out absolutely beautiful! I have always loved the look of the Cafe` series of appliances and the awesome features. I have to admit, this is my second remodel in six years ( two separate houses) where I have chosen the same Cafe` appliances. I am still waiting on the dishwasher, refrigerator and double ovens, but here are some picks of the kitchen remodel so far.

It is as easy to clean as it is beautiful and the design is made to help keep you safe and easier to wipe down! MOST importantly, I can now use all Burners at the same time!!! Highly recommend this Stove Top 110%!! You will be beyond HAPPY!!
