20% faster construction....not likely
Original design was changed to simplify assembly..... it did. However when this was done the bottom of the cabinet is now manufactured so that the flat surface is facing the floor which means with the floor leveling feet in place it takes a 6" square out of each corner of usable space. With the drawer slides welded in place there is no room for adjustment, my drawer doesn't fit correctly and threatens to fall out. For the amount of money each cabinet costs I shouldn't be drilling and shimming for maximum use, astetics aside who wants $180 cabinet that the drawer has to be slammed shut, drags on one side and falls off the track on the other.

Read this before reading the last guy's review.
I took these photos at my local Lowe's to show the last person's review is likely no longer valid. The photos I attached are the same single drawer + two door floor cabinet. I forgot to check the leveling feet though. Gladiator has either changed the product construction or the last guy assembled the bottom panel upside down. I personally purchased 6 cabinets and 4 of their super heavy duty shelving units. I ended up not getting this exact cabinet but the ones I did get are fantastic and I had no problem with my leveling feet. Everything is excellent. I replaced one part that was slightly damaged and Gladiator send me a new piece totally free and no questions asked. GREAT customer service.

The bottom shelf complaints are true
I bought both the Full Door Gear Box and the 3/4 Door Gear Box. The bottom shelf of the Full Door is fine. The bottom shelf of the 3/4 Door is a mess and must be manufactured wrong. There are threaded inserts sticking up into the bottom shelf and there is a 1" lip that any item will hit when removing. The bottom shelf is basically unusable. I don't know why they aren't sending out the same base as the Full Door Gearbox because this is ridiculous. You should avoid buying this modular gearbox unless you don't mind not having a bottom shelf.

What's with the bottom shelf??
Hi - we purchased and assembled this and once we were done we couldn't believe that the bottom shelf would have the caster screws sticking up into the cabinet. The floor also has a lip, rendering it unlevel and almost useless. None of the other models have this, why on earth would you do this? It's too much of a pain to return or else we would.

Damaged parts
There was a damaged part found when the box for this unit was opened, with no apparent damage to the exterior of the box. All of the parts in the box were very well packaged, and from all indications this damage must have occured at the factory prior to shipping and storage at Lowe's. I called the manufacturer and they sent a replacement part. Unfortunately, though, the replacement part was not packaged very well at all (actually there was NO packing material in the box whatsoever) and the replacement part was damaged WORSE than the original part! At that point I gave up and purchased another unit at Lowe's as a complete replacement since I couldn't wait any longer for a replacement part from the manufacturer. Overall, though, the quality of the replacement unit is very good and it was very easy to assemble (once I had good parts). The only negative is the price, which I feel is way too high for this unit.

Read this before you buy
Jan 2016, Purchased this unit and two of the 2-door units. This cabinet has partially threaded 5/16" feet (leveling legs.) The 2-door cabinets have fully threaded 3/8" feet. The range of adjustment will not allow you to level this cabinet to the 2-door cabinets. I swapped out the fullly threaded 3/8" feet from one of my 18x36x72 cabinets so I could level the three cabinets to place a countertop across them. If you need to level this cabinet to 2-door units, call Gladiator and request fully threaded 3/8" feet. The bottom of this cabinet is essentially upside down compared to the other cabinets - it's like a tray instead of a shelf, so all 20 of the threaded inserts for the feet and casters stick up on the inside of the cabinet and there's a lip at the front. This cabinet does not have the reinforcement bar under the top like the 2-door cabinets, presumably because of the drawer, so it's not as well suited for placing heavy items on the top. The screw heads on the sides of the cabinets result in a 3/8" gaps between adjacent units. I used foam weatherstripping to fill the gap.

Garage is organized!
The review is just another addition to a great product from Gladiator. What's great about this is it had two great functions as cabinet and storage drawers. I've read somewhere someoen had problem putting the thing together. They are right it does have many parts. If you take the time and follow the manual you will be just fine. As you can see it really looks good!

Bottom Shelf Manufacturing Defect - Upside Down!
Just received (qty 4) Hammered Granite cabinets (GAGB28KDYG) purchased in Feb 2022.
I’m extremely disappointed to discover the bottom shelf (P4) MANUFACTURING DEFECT has NOT been corrected to match the instruction manual (dated March19, 2021) which shows the smooth side facing up inside the cabinet.
As mentioned several times in these reviews, the bottom shelf of the 3/4 Door (P4) is a mess and was manufactured incorrectly and must be installed upside-down resulting with the threaded supports for either the wheels or leveling feet protruding UP into the cabinet and the smooth side facing the floor? See attached pictures.
The bottom shelf is unsightly and limits the amount of storage space. I own several Gladiator wall/storage cabinets and quality of this product does not match the rest of the items I own.
You should avoid buying this modular gearbox unless you don't mind not having a bottom shelf. I'm not pleased with this purchase.
