Not held up after two years of normal usage!
V disappointed with this product, I bought it after comparing it to Napoleon and Weber and felt it would hold up for atleast a few years. Since last season, the grates, flavor wave and the entire interior box has completely deteriorated. There is also rust forming now. V V disappointed in this product and the warranty which I just learned off isnt that great too.. They ask you to pay for shipping for a warranty part and the worst part is the grates are only under warranty for two years... Not v competitive from a warranty perspective compared to their competitors - Weber or Napoleon.
Will never buy a Broil King again!!

Seek some other brand
I bought my Baron 440 in 2015. I have maintained it, cleaned it, seasoned it with avocado oil, I bought the most expensive BBQ cleaner, a Canadian brand that makes natural degreasers, I followed the instructions as per Broil King's youtube videos and manual and i've had to change the grill, flavour waves and burners 2 times in 5 years. I paid for those parts so much money I could have bought a new BBQ. The materials used are so terrible that one of the grills broke after a couple of uses, the bottom of the grills rust so bad that pieces start breaking and falling from the bottom, even the rubber inserts that are on the sides to act as a dammper when you close the lid have cracked. Why waste so much money on a grill that can't last 2 years? This was my first and last Broil King.

Great BBQ - terrible assembly instructions
Just bought my Baron 440 and so far so good. My big beef (that's not on the grill) is that the assembly instructions are terrible. Hard to figure out exactly what to do just by the diagrams. Does not show complete setup for my natural gas model. Didn't know what all the parts and where they fit.

Great Grille, But Not For Long.
I bought this grill in 2015 at the canex ( Canadian military store on base). After 6 months the grill part and flavor wave pieces started to rust. It is now unusable. No doubt the materials used were not meant for longevity. I love the way it cooked my food until it literally rusted to pieces. The grill looks like something recovered from the sea floor, and cannot be used as pieces of metal literally fall off when you brush it. Went back to the store I bought it from and was told it's a common issue. You'd think for the price it cost there would either be some better quality control. I am disappointed that my family and I will not be bbq'ing anytime in the foreseeable future due to these issues.

I Love This Grill
This is a great grill. It has even heating, heavy cast iron cooking grids for great sear (and great grill marks), and gets very hot when you need it. The negative reviews here are silly. They all talk of rusting grids. Of course the grids will rust if you don't oil them. Any cast iron product will. I've had the Baron 440 for 6 years now and it beats the pants off any comparably priced grill.

Poor Quality product - rusting is severe.
I bought this grill less than 2 year ago. used for 2 seasons. 1 year in - saw the start of deterioration of the grilles and components - mainly rust. Literally grill decomposing. Similar to the post below - looks to be a quality issue on this product.
