Description

A pair of halogen lights brighten the cooktop, to provide an unobstructed view of your work area. This stainless steel under cabinet range hood uses the Captur venting system, which pulls smoke and odours out of the area at an impressive rate of 375 CFM. Simple push-button controls offer a straightforward operation and a choice between three available blower speeds. Air passes through removable and washable microfilters, that capture grease and other particles. Generating only 2.0 sones at normal speed, this slim under cabinet range hood allows the kitchen to stay quiet. EZ 1 brackets make installation simple, even for one person.

Decent fan for a decent price
Wanted a quieter fan with better sones/ventilation and this one does the trick. Lowest fan setting is useless, but the 2nd & third work very well. So much quieter than my old stock fan! Very good lighting (2 settings) and the bulbs CAN be changed to LED if you don't like the halogen. The main thing lacking on this fan is the screen filters. Broan makes another cheaper model with the metal venting plates, but it had less power for the fan. Why wouldn't they put the metal plates on ALL their fans?? Looks so much nicer and easier to clean! NOT a one person job for install either. I have some regret for not buying the cheaper model for the metal plates, but overall I'm happy with the look and function after 1 month.

Great fan, easy to install
Got this installed yesterday (non-vented mode), was pretty easy to do by myself. The unit itself seems well made, fairly quiet and pulls a lot of air even on the low setting. I like there are two settings for the lights. The only issue I had with installation was that the instructions to mark the easy-hang brackets for frameless installs. The manual says:
- Align the corresponding bracket to the cabinet side, while placing rear end of bracket
against the wall. Draw a line on the outer edge of the bracket (as shown).
- Slide the bracket towards the center of cabinet and align the outside edge of the
bracket with the marked line, keeping the rear end edge leaning on the wall.
-Use a pencil to mark 3 holes.
But this assumes your upper cabinet is 30" wide. Mine is 32", so each side was out by 1". I had to measure 14" out from center to get the proper line of screw holes to mount the bracket. This incorrect instructions wasted time and why I only gave 4 stars.
Other than that, I am very happy with the fan.

I bought this as an upgrade to my 35 year old nutone fan. Although this fan looks nice it obviously is not well made. Broan is also unsupportive of any problems past 1 year.
