Est-ce que ce produit ( sound smart) est aussi efficace ou meilleur que le sonopan?
Sonopan n'est pas efficace et j'ai des doutes pour ce panneau aussi. Pour insonoriser, ça prend du dur et du mou pour paraphraser mon frère qui est ingénieur mécanique spécialisé en acoustique et vibration. Le dur: deux feuilles de gypse d'épaisseur, des blocs de béton etc. Le mou, de la laine de roche ou de fibre de verre (entre les deux, la différence est minime). Aussi, il faut minimiser les ponts acoustiques i.e. le moins de contact possible entre les 2 côtés d'un mur. Pour ce faire, on peut utiliser des barres résilientes, ou faire une charpente désolidarisée. Dernier point, le montage doit être étanche puisque le son passera aux mêmes endroits que la chaleur. Donc, joints tirés, calfeutrage et coupe-froids sont des incontournables. Bon projet. :)

Doit-on recouvrir ces panneaux avec des feuilles de gypse ou si les peindre peut suffire?
Tu es obligés par le code national du bâtiment de recouvrir par un gypse

Excellent price & Easy to work with.
I bought this product a month ago. The product was easy to cut and install. Did not make a mess like similar products. It works extremely well when installed as instructed.

No good.
The only thing I'll give credit for is that it was easy to put up. It was very hard to cut. And it really doesnt block out any noise. Makes noise a touch muffled but same as before.
