Can I use "Bostitch BTFP1KIT-CA 0.8 HP 6-gal 150 PSI Pancake-Tank Electric Air Compressor " to drive this tool?
Specs state 80 - 120lbs operating pressure - the pancake compressor comes with a factory setting of 90-150 cutin cutout setting. So it all depends on how fast you pull the trigger and whether or not your hose couplers are weeping air. If you don’t want the compressor cycling often ( approx every 200 nails) add a inline auxiliary tank !

Great addition
This is a great framing nailer. I've already used it on two different projects shooting around 2,000 nails of two different sizes with no jams or any other problems. The continuous trigger was easy to install and the depth adjuster is easy and works perfectly. It's truly a lifesaver. If you are a framing contractor you would probably want to purchase the Bostich framing nailer that's heavier because it's probably more durable for everyday usage for year in and year out, but for anything else I would recommend this one because it's lighter. It's a great addition to my tool collection.

Wow, that was fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Framing my basement has been a snap with this. I used a pancake compressor and works just fine at 90-100 psi. No jams through 1000 3-1/2 inch nails (Bostitch brand). 1 drop of oil before each use. I didn't install the rapid trigger as I am OK doing it one at a time and is more accurate and less dangerous. When roofing I like the tap and go... I have some tendentious in my arm and didn't weigh enough to bother it during use. Great tool. Hanger is a plus. A bag/case would have been nice with it. Almost don't want to be done framing....

Very satisfied
I've only used this nailer on one project so far but it performed flawlessly. We replace 70 sections of fence (the kind you find in the planned communities in the Houston area) , shot over 5,000 nails and it didn't jam a single time. It's easy to use and seems of good sturdy quality. The only issue I see is that the Bostich nails cost about twice other brands. Not a big problem when you buy 2,000 per box but still Bostich could be more competitive on the price of nails.

Don't even think about any other nail gun!!!
I am a building contractor who buys 10-12 boxes of framing nails at a time. I own several different types/brands of nailers. My crew fueds over who gets to use these framing guns. One guy even shows up early just to be sure he gets one of these. This gun holds more nails than the plastic colated guns so you don't need to load it as often. I don't notice them jamming nearly as often as the plastic guns. The wire nails can get wet and still fire while the paper nails constantly jam or fall apart after they get wet. Over all they are the best all around framing gun that we use. The only negative thing that I can think of is that they dont hold as many nails as the coil framming guns, which is nice when nailing sheeting, but the coil magazine seem to get in the way when doing any other framing opperation. The longevity of these guns is unbelievable. In 12 years of almost daily use I've only ever had to scrap one of these guns, and that was because it fell 16' onto a concrete floor. Keep them oiled and the air pressure regulated and they should be as good to you as mine have been to me.

Bostich Framinig Nailer
Great purchases!
This nailer does what its supposed to do, it nails. The last one i bought lasted 20 years, and tens of thousands of nails, other than replacement of O rings for air leaks, thats it.
The name Bostich says it all.....I wouldnt buy any other brand

Great product. I bought a home with a 1500 sqft unfinished basement. Me, dad and my brother framed up the whole place in 12 hours with this nailer. I never had a jam and it holds pressure perfectly. Buy this nailer!

Garbage
stopped working after half a deck, took it in for warranty repair since it was over a month old, waste of time and they would not repair it, said i used to much oil, if thats even possible and WITHOUT EVEN OPENING IT. Warranty doesnt mean a thing, never buying Bostitch and will forever tell others their garbage
