Description

The Bosch impact driver set is half driver, half wrench, all impact. The two-in-one 1/4-in and 1/2-in bit and socket impact driver delivers results, offers a 1/4-in quick-change hex shank holder with power groove for bits, and a 1/2-in square drive for sockets. The impact driver/s efficient, powerful EC Brushless motor produces up to 1,800 in/lb of torque, while the Bosch hammer-and-anvil system provide maximum impact energy and up to 0-4,200 impacts per minute. The variable-speed trigger provides accurate driving speed. This tools increases both convenience and power. Bits can stay conveniently inserted when using deep sockets, and more torque is transferred directly thru the 1/2-in square drive anvil. There is no more torque loss through socket adapters or broken socket adapters. The driver has an LED light to illuminate the work area. The kit comes with one 18V 2.0 Ah SlimPack battery and a charger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by averageconsumer from I don't understand the negative reviews! This tool does exactly what it's supposed to well, drive in screws and lags. The 1/2 anvil with 1/4 internal adapter is great for when you need to drive in a 9/16 lag bolt without using a nut driver or a socket adapter. The people buying this expecting to remove wheels or suspension components from their cars and trucks are missing the point. It has 1800 inch pounds of torque (with certain fasteners). Divide that by 12 (12 inches per foot) and you have 150 foot pounds MAX torque with certain fasteners. That doesn't mean this tool puts out 150 foot pounds of torque on 22mm wheel nuts that are overtorqued by your car dealer! This is a solid contractor / DIY tool when you know what and how to use it.

It has 150ft/lbs rating so it made very quick work out of changing the tire. This tool has replaced my lug wrench. You will not be disappointed with this purchase...divide the inch/lbs rating by 12 to determine ft/lbs.

The torque was too much for it to overcome. I contacted Bosch. After a friendly conversation with the support tech, they agreed that the drill was faulty and they replaced it at no charge to me. I would recommend any Bosch product based on their tech support, alone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Papaheiser from Very impressed I bought this because I was so impressed with my Bulldog SDS rotary hammer that I recently bought. I already have a couple of impact drivers. This is more compact than the others, feels more comfortable to grip, and gets the job done. I figured it has a 1/2" square drive on it, I would see what it can do. Well, I used it to take the lug nuts off of both of my vehicles. Not sure if it's designed for that or not, but it did it without a problem. I really like this tool!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Juniorsamples from Unexpectedly powerful I bought this to use on a metal roofing job mostly for screws and love the tool. The 1/2" driver is more powerful than I expected. I loaned it to the carpenters on the job installing large lag screws as they said it worked better than their 20V yellow brand driver. The only issue I had was for a while it didn't want to release hex bits...I suspect that I got a few bits of metal down in there and it was jammed. That problem went away and works perfectly now. I will say that it has almost too much power for some jobs. I find myself using my 12V driver where more finesse is needed because this one risks snapping stripping heads of cheap screws. Battery life is fantastic.
