Rather than hard wiring the Bosch dishwasher, I installed an electrical outlet and used the Bosch provided electrical power cord.

Easy to install
Bought this because I didn't realize the dishwasher Bosch 800 mode I purchased l came with a plug, and I don't have an available socket. It's really easy to connect and install. Note: you're not supposed to install right behind the dishwasher. You're supposed to install in an adjacent cabinet. Guessing this is a safety and/or clearance issue.

Worthless if you wire direct !
This piece was useless and after more than three hours waiting on the phone I never got an answer of where it plugged into the dishwasher. More time was spent looking through multiple diagrams on-line and through instructions only to find nothing about where it plugged into the dishwasher.

Instant electric outlet
If your old dishwasher was directly wired, you will need a wall socket to plug in your new machine. This unit permits an easy way not to have to drill and mount a socket in the back wall behind the new dishwasher. You just disconnect the old dishwasher wire (after you have turned the circuit off at the fuse box) and connect the wires to this new cord and Voila, you are good to go. 5 minutes does it.

No strain relief
I purchased this since the dishwasher we bought didn’t make it readily apparent that an adapter for a wall outlet wasn’t included. Although this product works and is compatible, there is no strain relief for the wiring once they’re connected to the terminals. It might not be a big deal and doesn’t adversely affect the functionality but for the amount, I expected better.

Does the job but too expensive
Bosch dishwashers come with a custom plug. So in order to connect the power cord from the wall to the dishwasher, you either have to convert the the power cord to a electrical outlet (an extension is supplied with the dishwasher) or you buy this so that you can convert your power cord to the plug. It works but is not worth the money.

Fulfilled its mission perfectly. Converts a hard-wired dishwasher installation to a plug in type. Easy to install, instructions were excellent. This is specific to a Bosch dishwasher. I don't know if it applies to any other brands. The power cord is part of the junction box so the power cord that comes with the dishwasher is not used.

Impractical, doesn't provide standard AC plug
The problem is this just continues the hard wiring to a safer location. Doesn't allow for easy unplugging when necessary. If you want to install an inline surge protector, you can't!! Greatly preferred would be a junction box from proprietary Bosch plug to a standard 3-prong AC plug. Build quality is good, but it's bulky..

The house wire came out of the wall behind the unit. This box will not fit in the same enclosure as the dishwasher. Just not enough room to fit a thick box like this one. It must be mounted in an adjacent cabinet. I returned it and put a duplex plug in the wall behind the dishwasher.

Junction Box 2 Big
So happy I had a contractor install my new dishwasher. This junction box DOES NOT even fit under the dishwasher. It is about 2 inches too high. An example of two different design teams not working together.
The materials are all great, just does not serve its purpose as is.

Clever design, but our installer had difficulties
Our installer had a lot of problems getting the wires to go into the proper slots. It's a very small tight space. They ended up actually breaking the inside portion (or maybe it was broken already), but fortunately for us they had another one in the truck.

Easy to install, but inserting wires can be tricky
This product was the perfect fit for my Bosch dishwasher. The instructions were very clear and precise. The plastic box makes it easier to work with. It took me a few tries to get all three wires inserted, but that has nothing to do with the product itself.

Pricey!!!!
I bought this with my new dishwasher. I wish I would have just bought the pieces and built my plug-in box, then used the cord that comes with the dishwasher. It would have saved $20-$25. It is good quality but definitely not worth it.

For hardwired Bosch dishwasher installation.
This adapter is needed if you do not have an outlet to power your Bosch dishwasher. Installation was simple and the kit includes the strain relief clamp. Only minimal wiring experience is needed in my opinion.

You need this when purchasing a dishwasher on newer homes. Most homes in the 80's & earlier do not need this. Another cost, but it works. Ease I cannot attest too. I had a plumber install my dishwasher.
