Description

Rated 4 out of 5 by JohnZinOhio from It does what it should I picked up this saw primarily to do tree trimming - in areas where a standard bow saw or chainsaw won't clear, as well as general cutting on household projects. This saw should fit the bill. It comes with a single 6" blade marked for cutting wood with nails, so it will get you started on most jobs. If you need to cut thicker material, say bigger than 3" in width or diameter, you'll want longer blades right off the bat. Having an adjustable shoe would make this a 5-star saw, but most of the adjustable shoes on saws in this price range are not robust. (Relative to the previous post, my saw came with a soft case - more like a nylon tool bag - so the cord pinching issue does not apply.)

Rated 2 out of 5 by JN from Broke down after minimal use I bought this saw and loved it. I also experienced grease coming out the piston. Then, after having used it about twenty times some part has broken down internally. Unfortunately I bought it a about two years ago and missed the warranty period. The saw technically still works but the amount of vibrations and wasted power is a clear sign that a part has broken. It no longer cuts well and the amount of vibrations makes it impractical and truthfully painful. I'm disappointed in that it worked very well but broke after so little use.

I used on cutting nails screws metal wood you name it easy to control and reliable. only problem is like two other saws I have the molded case needs more room for the power cord pinches a little in case where connects to saw but so does dewalts and makitia. GREAT saw

I decided to stick with Bosch because I'm so impressed with my other Bosch power tools and sure enough this one was a great choice. Took it home and immediately used it to prune back my apple tree with no issues after three hours of non stop use. I'm officially a Bosch power tool fan! Wish it came with molded case instead of bag.

Specifically I used it to cut off the cement anchors flush with the porch. Thus, I had to hold the saw sideways and push the nose against the cement porch edge. It functioned very well, is lightweight and easy to manage.
