on this model, some consumers are complaining of dishes still being wet after cycle is finished...is this normal
Hi Sherebear , thank you for your question. Our units dry by condensation, therefore if the water temperature is not high enough this could result in unsatisfactory drying results , you may use rinse aid and the extra dry option to help with the drying process. Should you have any other question , please contact customer service at 1800-944-2904, as they will be able to assist you with any inquiries. Hope this helps.

Is extended warranty available?
Hi Stanleycox, Thank you for your question. Bosch does not yet offer extend warranty services, however you will be able to purchase an extended warranty through Lowes directly when purchasing an appliance. I do suggest you contact your local dealer to obtain more information. Hope this helps.

we bought this model a year ago and we use it only when we take our long weekend stay. when cleaning is done and opened it we noticed it doesn't smell of a dishwasher's liquid we used. any idea? does it sanitize on its own every after use. thank you
Thank you for your question Buckey. During our cycles, there is a time allocated to rinse, and carry away any residual soap particles. Please note as well most of our appliances do have a sanitize option. Hope this helps.

Where does the dishwasher vent from? Our current dishwasher has ruined our drawers since it vents from the side.
It really doesn’t release a lot of steam. I think it condenses in the washer and drains out. If I open the door right after it runs it will release a lot of steam. Otherwise it’s fairly dry. I don’t think it will damage your cabinets.

Where is the drain hose located? Near the front? It is for a cottage installation that needs to be easily drained for the winter.
At the Back. Easy enough to drain by undoing the connection to draining source.

did not know dishwashers could be that quiet
We have been very pleased with the Bosch, nice looking , water saver, highest rating in a consumer magazine. You have to use a rinse agent; however, this has been a good thing. The dishes come out clean, without the haze that was on the old dishwasher with the same rinse agent. we would buy this exact same dishwasher again. The company that installed it did a really good job, brought out all the new lines and plug in cord, on time, very professional and pleasant. I like saving 5% using my Lowe's card and their rule of matching prices is a good thing, too. Four year warranty for parts, for $25 a year can add 4 years for labor, very reasonable.

Replaced a Holbart dishwasher (high end)
We really like this dishwasher and consumer report rated it the best in their testing. The only thing I am not sure of is that the controls are hidden,,,, getting use to that. No matter what it does not interfere with the quality of how clean the dishes come out. Quiet, quiet, quiet, we can now watch TV in the living room and the dishwasher noise is not a issue.
We would buy Bosch again. A plumber told me Bosch is easy to repair so repair bill is lower than normal if a repair is ever needed. Consumer Report rates Bosch with one of the least dishwashers that call for repairs.
Realy like the sleek handle, it give the kitchen a hint of a modern look.

Not reliable.
OK when it worked. Mainboard and display board fried a year and half later. Bosch sent someone who charged me $220 to replace both boards. Even though parts have five year warranty, they won't let you install them. I bought this on sale for $500 so I basically spent half the cost of the purchase on repairing a part that gets no physical abuse.
Bosch also did work on the dishwasher and left me a bill which I didn't authorize them to do before they began their work.
The dishwasher is also not as quiet as people say. The other manufacturers probably underrate their DBs because my GE and Samsung dishwashers have higher rated DBs but are much quieter.

Very efficient and very quiet!
I installed this unit myself and it was not hard to do. You will need a power cord, possibly a new supply line, but that's about it. Even though it is essentially the same dimension as the old dishwasher, it seems to hold more dishes. It's very easy to activate (just push the "on" button) and set it on normal wash. Dishes are very clean, and it is super quiet. I don't even know it's on! We've had had it for a month, and so far, it's performed perfectly. I should note that we purchased this unit online and delivery was made within a week. Lowe's also removed the old unit at no charge.

Would not purchase again
We replaced our GE Profile with this Bosch. I am disappointed and will not buy again. The positives about this unit is the stainless steel interior, the hidden controls, and the quietness of the unit. But these are outweighed by the negatives. The unit does not dry the dishes well. The interior design, though great for plates and regular sized bowls, it does not accommodate serving size pieces very well. In addition, the unit has an odor after a couple of days of not running even though we clean the drains and rinse our dishes. I will go back to a GE product if I need to purchase another unit. I leaned toward this unit because of the consumer report rating. I will not make that mistake again.

Great dishwasher
Cleans very well and is very quiet. However, my only complaint is setting the dry cycle. If I didn't read the book, I wouldn't know that it had a heated dry cycle and you had to program it to turn on or off. There is no button for turning it on. In order to program it, I have to get the book out. The same with with adjusting how much rinse aid it uses.
Other than programming the heated dry cycle, this is the best dishwasher I've ever owned. And, the racks are adjustable. You can lower or raise the top rack.

No Regrets
We are very happy with our dishwasher. It is so quiet that you're not even sure that it's on. While it is still very new for us (less than a week), we have not experienced the problems listed in some of the other reviews. It is easy to use, and the bottom rack has more room for dishes than our previous dishwasher. My only tip is make sure that you add the rinsing agent, even if you use tablets with a rinsing component. The instructions tell you to do so, but our installer told us we didn't have to. The dishes dried fine with the sanitizer option. The glasses were spotless!

Clean but WET DISHES
Dishwasher is very quiet and the dishes always come out of the dishwasher clean but wet. I do not like having to spend time shaking the water off the plastic kid dishes and tupperware type dishes over the sink and then drying them with a towel after they come out of the dishwasher. The dry cycle is not long enough to dry the dishes and it was most likely designed this way to get a great energy star rating. The tub also smells musty because it does not dry well. There is not a heating element sitting in the bottom of the tub like my old dishwasher so I do not have to worry about plastic dishes melting on the bottom rack. I wish I had returned the dishwasher when I had the chance.
