Rated 1 out of 5 by pam from Caught Fire-Bosch has Terrible Cust Service Expensive,1 year old microwave caught fire. Apparently this is a common problem-there is a class action law suit in Texas. Wish I would have known before I bought this piece of junk that almost caught my kitchen on fire. Dealing with Bosch has been a HASSLE! Customer service is terrible. You are kept on hold for 20 minutes until someone picks up and hangs up (happened several times), if you get someone, they promise a response(which never comes). Do Not Buy this expensive safety hazzard. Yes the slow drawer looks cool. It doesnt heat any better than a cheaper model that wont catch your house on fire.

It is hard to read the touch screen, (you must put your head below the counter top) and the clock has to be reset every time there is a power interruption. Our island overhangs to accommodate the plugmold electrical outlets, this makes it harder to see and use. I just did not want to look at outlets in the side of a cabinet and wanted multiple outlets since the island is so large. I also like the fact that there is no handle so that the installation is flush with the side of the cabinet.

A little over a year after install this microwave started not to heat food properly and then one day started to have smoke come out of it. I had the unit inspected was told it was not repairable. I took the time to research online and it would seem this unit has had a known problem for a number of years. Many consumers since 2015 have experienced the same issue as ours where the microwave magnetron arcing to the cabinet. I expected far more from Bosch and would not recommend anyone buy's this microwave until Bosch can assure you this issue is resolved.

It is not user error, it is the same settings we have been using all along. Now we have to call for service and if it needs to be replaced it will take another month with the current back order.

Pros: - Looks great - Lots of features I have not yet used - Like the fact that I can open drawer, add things to warm up and can see control panel without having to strain at all Cons: - Does not warm up my food as well as my old microwave - Door is a little slow in opening/closing but understand due to the machanical design I would recommend this microwave to anyone who is challenged with sapce and they need to add a microwae to the kitchen design.

Does it only heat half of the bag of veggies and leave the other half still frozen? Yes...somehow. The control panel is hard to use for anyone taller than a 5th grader. The hot spots barely outweigh the cold spots. It hasn't caught on fire yet, so it's getting 2 stars

Bosch 24" 1.2 Cu. Why has Bosch not resolved this? Very scary. I bought all of my appliances from Bosch, space was made custom made, now other brands won't fit. Very upset. So very scary.
