The sleek, sophisticated European design of this Bosch® range hood transcends all styles and vogues. The 800 Series 42-in island hood is equipped with a powerful 600-CFM venting system that will effortlessly remove smoke, steam and odours from your kitchen for a fresh feeling kitchen. The aluminum mesh filters trap grease to maintain a powerful fan, and they're dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning. Easily select one of four fan speeds from the stylish LCD screen and adjust the dimmable overhead lighting. The range can easily be converted into a non-ducted range using a recirculating kit including a charcoal filter (sold separately). This quality product is backed by a 1-year warranty.

Excellent!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this Hood! The only drawback for me is how loud it is. But again I do not leave it on all the time only when I am cooking with lots of vapors, smoke or grease. The filters are very easy to clean as well as the hood. I love the flat design of it as it is very trim and elegant looking in the kitchen. Wonderful!

Great hood
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got one of these for over our island. I really like the built-in timer (which I find I reach to more often than any other timer in my kitchen). The lights are great, but, careful, they do get hot. Hood fan has all settings from quiet to "blast-off" for when you really make a mistake.

Missing connectivity
When I purchaced my 36 in induction cooktop I was told to be able to start the fan from the cookplate that I needed to by a Bosch hood . This model do not work with the cooktop and need to be started manually.

Sleek and efficient island hood
I looked at many brands to replace my old bulky island hood. It is beautifully made and its proportions and style keep it from sticking out above everything else in the kitchen. Both the lighting and intake blowers are easily adjustable by pressing the front controls. I like the warm-colored lights they used, enhances the look of food when cooking and gives the right amount of added light to the room. The blowing is not that loud, but has to be of a certain level to eliminate cooking fumes. I do not have any cooking odors in other parts of the house. I should add that the place I purchased it from did not have a sample to show me, as you will find true of many ranges hoods. So I had to order it sight unseen. That can sometimes lead to disaster—this time it was perfect and I'm thrilled.
