Great Saw for the Price Range
Bought this as a replacement for another brand of circular saw. This was slightly more expensive but worth the extra money. It is very easy to control, cuts true and quieter than my previous saw. I di read some review about their saw(s) not cutting correctly but I did not experience that.
I haven't used it enough to give a durability rating. The reason for not giving an excellent mark on the features and value is that I would like a hard case in this price range and a rip fence.

Won't cut 90 degrees
I bought this Bosch yesterday because the shoe on my cheap Craftsman saw bent. I expected to have to "fine tune" the cut angle on a new saw, but what I didn't expect was that it won't cut 90 degrees no matter what! The shoe of the Bosch hits the motor housing before it reaches 90. I love the features of the saw, but if it won't cut true then it's useless to me or anyone else unless you don't care about accuracy. I even tried loosening the screws where the shoe attaches to the actual saw body, but there wasn't enough play to get me any clearance. I may try another one, just to see if it was a fluke, but come on now, shouldn't you be able to expect a brand new anything to do what it's supposed to do?

junk
this saw really isnt that good. i had a dewalt that i used for most of the jobs were i needed a circular saw. one job i was on a roof and it fell 2 stories and bent the bace plate so its not true. i went out and bought this saw and started using it. it sounds really weird when you pull the triger sounds really weak. its also really easy for the blade to stop with this saw. it feels like the motor is like a little 8 amp motor. it just dosnt have the power to cut efficently like the dewalt did. also the bace plate is really easy to mess up. the makings are off on my saw and dosnt cut stright along the. buying this saw makes me want to throwgh it in the dumpster and go buy a dewalt again.

Darn Good Saw
This Bosch Saw is quite good but probably not the best you can buy, but for the money it is a good choice. The saw is of good design, has no foolish "safety" trigger, plenty of power, and is of seemingly good quality. It should have a quick blade release and come with the extra guide tools; hey Bosch!!!. The carry bag is better than a hard case, in my opinion. I'm somewhat of a fan of Bosch. It has a 56 degree bevel cut, an extra hook for hanging (of questionable value), and a long cord. A good buy at a hundred bucks.

Depth guide has potential but fails.
I really like this saw except for 1 fatal flaw. First the good: it's light, powerful, and has a rafter hook. The depth guide has stops and is labeled for half inch, 3/4, and 2x, which is great. The issue is the lever to tighten the height sucks and broke on me after just a few uses. If it weren't for that, it's 5 stars.

Complete review
I have a number of other Bosh tools and have been happy with them so for the price I gave this one a go.
What I liked was the quick stops on the depth setting. This is also a problem though because when you want to fine tune the depth the saw falls into the preset depth locations. That was a pain. I read about how other people had trouble getting a straight cut. It took me a little time to get use to this but I was able to cut straight with it.
I cut a lot of wood before writing this review. For the money (on sale) I would buy it again. It is a heavy saw so if you need to cut up in the rafters that maybe a show stopper for you.

Good lightweight saw with a minor issue
I bought this because I was looking for a lightweight circular saw to replace my ancient Craftsman saw. It seems to work just fine, but the retainer and spring for the depth adjustment lever flew off the first time I tried to use it. There is a feature of this spring-loaded handle that is supposed to make it easy to set commonly used depths. I haven't had a chance to reach out to Bosch yet, but will do so in the next couple of days. Hopefully, they'll send me a new retainer that won't detach so easily.

waste of money
This saw cuts smoothly and is fairly easy to handle, but the fact that I cannot keep the saw square at a 90° angle is ridiculous. The saw came way out of square from the factory so I tried to make it square manually with the set screw. that worked ok for a while, until the set screw fell out. Now the saw is almost worthless because it is such a pain to keep square. Also, depth adjustment lever is very hard to use, which wastes time and is very frustrating. I'd stay away from this saw.
