Input hose threads are plastic, but a pretty sturdy plastic. The pressure hose has standard metal pressure fittings.

is the hose length on the Aquatak 1900 really only 8 feet??
I think the measurements given for the the hose and the power cord are metres not feet as indicated - hose 8m, cord 12m - I haven't measured them - but they are in that range.

Hardly used handle leaking.
I bought this a little over two years ago. Of course the two-year warranty is up. The handle is leaking. I change the O-rings still leaking and we need to stop making this plastic garbage that goes to the garbage.

Great performance, but be aware of water inlet
I have had this two years, and have used it quite a bit - I have only used one other PW. This has good power and the roto spray can easily strip old stain/paint. The only thing to be aware of is that the plastic input thread is not a standard garden hose 3/4"-11.5 - it is possibly a pipe thread - 3/4"-14. The supplied water filter and hose adapter are Gardena like. If the plastic input filter breaks, you cannot connect a hose directly. The phone number on the manual 1-844-900-2782 can send you the parts list, but can only take orders for the US. For Canada they can refer you to nearby parts distributor.
