Flame Dies Out
I purchased this fireplace from Rona a few years ago. We enjoyed it tremendously. Last year it started to have a problem with staying lit. It would start out well and then the flame would go down and then it would flicker and die. We replaced the propane tank and yet the problem remained. Now it barely starts and then fizzles out. We have inspected the tubing and there are no crimps or punctures. The connections are all tight. We can not determine a leak or figure out what the problem is. It may be the dial but then why would it start and work for a short time? Please, if you can help me with this, I would be grateful. Now that we have enjoyed our back yard evenings with this fire pit, it is sad to sit outside without it at night. I don’t even know who I could ask to repair it.

Do not buy this table
I too bought this table end of summer after one winter ONE which the table was covered I was shocked to see cracks all over the top. When I went to the Rona on Speers Road in Oakville to see what could be done the numbskull of a store manager looked at me like it was my fault totally ignored me and suggested I paint over it. As somebody who used to don’t thousands a year at Rona I can’t say how shocked and disappointed I was and still am a year later. Not going back to Rona in a hurry.

Avoid!!! See other reviews.
Around one year ago today I purchased a Bond Fire Table from Rona. I was quite happy with the unit and I stored it with the cover in the garage over winter and took it out this season to find the paint was chipping in various places on the top surface. This is obviously very disappointing as I haven’t even had this unit a year and it was nearly $500 with taxes. It was only ever outside for one summer and the cover was on whenever it rained. Moreover, the included touch-up pen was too liquidy and more blue that grey when I tried to use it today (you can see this in the photo). Rona (fairly rudely when I phoned) told me to contact Bond directly, and I have sent them multiple emails with no response in over a month.
I would like to continue to purchase Bond products as I have a number of them, and so I am hoping this issue can be resolved but the manufacturer has still not contacted me.

Disappointing, but worked for first two years.
I bought this 3 years ago and have been able to repair the fibreglass damage everyone alludes to, but I can attest the product is not great. The dial gauge no longer holds the flame in place. If a Bond employee reads this review, I would appreciate advice on how I could get @ replacement switch/dial that controls the flame as the one on mine is defective. I have push the thing in with my foot for the whole time or else the flame extinguishes. Anyway, unfortunately not recommended.

Do NOT Buy!!!
Bought this one year ago and it has broken down terribly and is crumbling! Was stored inside during the winter. Contacted Bond within the one year warranty and they will not do anything about it. Terrible product and customer service!!! There was no reviews of this product when I bought it.

Read the reviews folks - avoid BOND tables
I’ve had a terrible experience with this BOND fire table. I see I am not the only frustrated RONA customer.
Purchased this fire table in 2016, yes that is three years ago, but I have seldom used it (a few times in the beginning, for about an hour at a time) but have always taken care to store it in my garage over winter.
Key defect - the fiberglass cracks and crumbles over time no matter how carefully you treat this unit. You’ll see lots of similar photos from other RONA customers, everyone is complaining about this exact same problem.
Cracks in the surface, crumbling and warping throughout, as well as the side of the body.
What do you do with a fire pit that is all cracked like this, it looks like junk.
The quality of the fiberglass used is so poor that my attempts to repair with automotive fiberglass matte and resin/hardener all failed. New fiberglass simply does not adhere to the old fiberglass. New cracks emerge a few weeks later. You can see these if you look carefully at the photos I’ve provided.
I tried to seal the unit with a high quality masonry stain, that did nothing to help.
RONA, this poor product is a real standout from your otherwise excellent stores and products. It seems incredible to me, that even as I enter certain RONA stores in Ontario last week (Hanover, Barrie, Scarborough) this same fire table is on display. Is someone in product management taking notice of all these negative reviews? There were no reviews when I bought this fire table, and it would certainly have helped me avoid this situation to have a few honest reviews available.
What is even more frustrating, BOND likes to reply to each negative review here, hinting at the idea of contacting them for “options” . Following their suggestion I did that, and after emailing and web forms several times I finally chased down a customer service rep. It is misleading and a waste of my time to suggest there are “options” only to be nonresponsive for weeks and then finally when cornered, confirm that too bad for you, your warranty expired and you are out of luck.
I’ve certainly learned a hard lesson buying from BOND and RONA I hope you will take notice this manufacturer should be out of the lineup.

DO NOT BUY!
This is one cheaply made fire pit! We bought this 2 summers ago and have always protected it with a high quality cover when not in use. We have used it probably a dozen times max and it’s falling apart and this spring, we tried to turn it on, but it just won’t work. What a waste of money!
We Just ordered the Napoleon and the quality is just so much more superior, all metal, let’s see how long it lasts.
