mulch bag
Overpriced mulch bag. All wood chips and no soil. Waste of money. Not suitable for over seeding or as a potting mix.

Stinks!
I bought 5 bags for a planter. Seems to have a very high organic content and next to no mineral content. Easy to work with initially but seems to form a hard crust after you plant.
Most importantly it STINKS. My truck still smells like it 3 weeks later and every time I walk outside in my backyard I smell it. It’s gone from smelling like compost and poo to a smoldering fire now.

TERRIBLE.
Terrible bag of earth. Full of fillers. Twigs and small sticks. But the worst of it, is half the bag is rock hard! I've never seen dirt so compacted and pressed; its as solid as bricks. Even with my metal spade, I had to hack on the large chunks and all that did was break into slightly smaller chunks (about the size of hand - palm+fingers). When I say I hacked at it, I mean I had to take baseball like swings at it to try and break it up. I actually picked up a large piece and through it at the brick wall of my house. All that did was break it in two. I bought 4 bags and each bag is like this. You can actually feel how hard it is when you pick the bag up. A nice worker from Rona loaded it in the back of my SUV for me. I wish had grabbed the bags myself cause I would have known right away something was wrong. I would not buy this product again.
