The battery that came with my trimmer is a 20V, 2 amp... can I use a 20V, 5 amp battery for more power/longer life?

How long should the battery last
This battery lasts 20 minutes, based on three days of trimming. For the price, don't expect more than that, but it is far less than I truly need. Also disappointing that the battery is not interchangeable with other 20V systems (Dewalt is the one I am thinking of, but there are others too). I understand the reasoning, but not all brands have all the devices I am looking for.

Is it possible to swap the auto feed spool with a conventional head that uses a manual advance? I've read reports that the AFS doesn't always work properly and can unnecessarily advance line.
The way to prevent the auto advance is to wind the line manually in a blank spool, and the method is to wind the line in the opposit direction that the arrows indicate. This will prevent automatic advance. Therefore as the line gets short + you want to advance it, turn the device upside down, remove the red cap + advance what length you want.

No. This kit has 1 battery that can be interchanged between the blower and the trimmer. Has 1 charging unit as well.

GREAT combo and deal
I think some of the other reviewers are on crack or dont know how to use tools. Bought it and brought it home. A bit worried about all the bash reviews but I know every situation can be different. So CHARGED it fully as per instructions and started with the Trimmer. Did my front yard and cleaned up with the blower. Did my full backyard and blower again to clean up. Steady detailed work and the power never failed. I literately had to go find other stuff to use the blower on to drain the battery. To say this is a waste of money is NOT true. I got it on Sale for $99 and it is the deal of the summer for sure. Grab one of these sets if you can. They was only 3 left when I bought mine.

LCC140 COMBO KIT
I've had Black and Decker products all my life . The LCC140 40V MAX* Lithium String Trimmer + Sweeper Combo Kit I purchased to replace a 36 volt Black and Decker String trimmer still operating excellently, that I gave to my daughter in need is a great product . My combo kit has exceeded my expectations in operation and battery charge times. I'm very happy with the lightweight and easy to use features , like variable speeds , auto feed trimmer string and such. Easy pop in refills of auto feed spools , or you can feed in and spool your own string. The adjustable handle and length of the trimmer is just right.

Great lightweight trimmer
The weed-trimmer is very light weight and it's very easy to adjust the length of the shaft. The screw that was to hold on the guard didn't hold and I had to get a new one, but with that simple fix it works great. It's easy to charge, the battery lasted for my entire use and added very little weight. I have neck and back issues and this is light weight enough for me to use. I would recommend this product.

I love this trimmer!
This trimmer is light weight & is a work horse. The battery last & you can get them at a decent price. I'm a woman that has rotator cuff problems & I can use this with ease. It cuts through the weeds like butter. If they're really thick you've got to spend more time on it. But! it's not heavy for being used on heavy duty weeds. Yes! I bought this.. and love it.

Value priced for 2 separate units!
After charging the battery for the recommended charging time, I gave the grass trimmer a thorough test. At first, I was a bit concerned with there being only 1 cut string, but my concerns were quickly put to rest once I started trimming the grass around my house. This unit is more than capable of handling small, medium or even large areas of grass to be trimmed. One nice feature of this trimmer is not having to "bump" the unit to extract more cutting line. All automatic. In thick grass, this unit never bogged down under the load of heavy (wet) grass. The RPMs on this unit seem to be very good.
Then it was time to test the blower out. It's small and feels somewhat under-powered. It did a good (not great) job of clearing the grass clippings off my sidewalk and driveway. I am satisfied with the job it does. It's by no means heavy-duty. Use it around your home and you should be very happy. I did not notice any battery drain switching between the two units. Total use time of both units was around 30 minutes.

Okay for a low price, but not a very strong blower
I bought this mainly for the blower. While it does blow, it doesn't have that much power. It did move the things I was blowing but will be surprised if it can effectively blow any substantial amount of grass from the sidewalk if it is on the wetter, heavier side. I didn't include it as part of the rating, but I had my product shipped to me. It game with a huge hole in the box with clear tape covering it. I hope this doesn't indicate the product to a huge jolt and will break sooner rather than later.

Seems strong enough for small jobs.
Works well, but cutting path is small at 10". However, the smaller cutting path enables access to tighter spaces, so it is a tradeoff.
Used once and worked very well.
Blower seems weak, but also stirs up less dirt. I was replacing a leaf vacuum, so previous blower was powerful. So, small amounts of debris blown off of sidewalk works well.
Battery is 1.5 amp and 20 volts. As such lasts about 20 minutes. Recommend buying at least a 4 amp, 20 volt Black and Decker replacement, so you can charge one while using the other.

I have a small yard, between the trimming and sweeping the battery hardly made it. These felt more like toys, not tools. Returned for a refund.
