The description says the unit has a secure locking lid, but we cannot make it lock. The company's website refers to a secondary locking system with a separate orange piece that fits into the front of the unit. Does this have to be purchased separately?

The 12 Gallon Green Bin features a 360 degree double rim closure and secure front latch which eliminates spills and traps odors. Rated 5 out of 5 by MBigs from Fantastic to store lump charcoal! I have 2 of these bins, one I bought a good 4 years ago and now I purchased another, that's how handy they are. I use them to store my lump charcoal outside on my deck right beside my charcoal grills! They fit a 20 lbs bag of charcoal lump without a hitch! The latch is solid, overall build is great/solid and water does not get into the bins. This could be used for so many other things as well. For the price, they are well worth it.
