Voilà! Palm Tree Soil Tropical and Exotic Plants 10L is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Whatever money you're saving, you'll pay more This soil might look attractive due to its price. You'll end up paying what you save and more in the long run. This soil came with every pest imaginable. It was soaked out of the bag. All the plants I planted (I did not use this for houseplants, only for annual veggies) ended up having aphids, thrips and fungus gnat infestations. I had to spend extra money buying products to control the infestations. Probably should've just put everything in the garbage as to not risk contaminating other plants. Let's say I just got a bad bag. If the soil was pest free, it is simply not good soil for tropical plants, let alone palm trees. This is just regular CHEAP potting mix with a different label slapped on it. The least they could've done to make it more palm tree friendly is put extra perlite. The amount of perlite in this is even lower than what they put in dollarama soil. It stays moist FOREVER. There are not elements for good drainage in this soil. You tropical plants DO NOT wants to sit in water for a long time. Please, spend a couple dollars, up to double the price of this soil, on a good premium potting mix and amend with extra perlite OR buy a good quality, good brand potting mix designed for tropical plants.
