Do you put the flat side on top and can you use it for stick on vinyl tiles

Yes, the flat side would be your surface side. The vinyl must be a minimum 5mm thick and rigid in order to be installed over your Thermal Shield.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SlavaM from Fenomenal new product from Barricade I was about to purchase a regular Barricade Air Plus subfloor for one of my projects when accidentally entered Lowes during the presentation of the new product. It's called Thermal Shield. I decided to give it a try and that was a great decision. R-value is one of the best in the subfloor market. Easy to cut to any shape and size without power tools. Easy to install using locks. And what is most important - you can really feel the difference when you walk on the floor after the install. It was a basement reno and the floor is really warmer. Definitely recommended and I will keep using it in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Gibby1234 from Works good, tricky lock together I installed 360 sq ft of this product over the last week. Overall seems like a great product, but the tongue and grove is very tight, and very tricky to get it go together without moving it around. It’s supposed to have a gap between the edges and walls, but this is very tricky to maintain when a rubber mallet with a block is required to get them to lock into each other.
