These mouldings act as a frame to hold your wood planks, making them very easy to install and replace if necessary. Made of black steel, they will give your fence a modern look and show off your boards in any colour. Each kit includes the necessary channels to properly frame your boards. U-channels can be cut to any length and will fit on a wall or post. Backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Can this be pounded into the ground? Or is it to be secured with screws into a hard surface? I’d like to install it in dirt/ lawn but cannot see what the base is to do that
Those channels are built to be attached to posts. The posts can be secured into the ground with concrete. We suggest using our steel posts #10505152 for inground use.

Does this take 1 inch wooden pickets/planks? Also, how much gap the spacers would leave between wooden panels?

Yes, these channels are made to hold boards of 1'' to 1 1/8''. Spacers will provide 1/2'' gap between boards.
