Can this tile be used in a shower? If so, does it require any special sealant or treatment?

Absolutely. Use high quality german shower wall thinset. (K) Because it is a natural stone, it is recommended that you use a sealer or an enhancer, but I've built dozens of Kerdi showers with marble were there was no sealer and they are fine years later.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 3114Kayci from Beautiful stone I just had it installed in two bathrooms - each in different patterns. It’s gorgeous. Very thick so the installer said. Gives a spa like feeling when you walk into the bathrooms. The neutral colour will easily coordinate with other colours and accessories.
