This variable speed control for motors by Atmosphere® contains an on/off line switch and a high gain RFI noise suppression filter. Suitable for motors up to 5 A115 V. Applications include range hoods, vibrators, humidifiers, fireplace blowers, fans, laminar flow hoods, and heat tunnel sand stirrers.

Will this work with a kitchen range hood exhaust fan?
It should, as long as it's old enough to not have electronic controls, eg simple on/50%/off controls, and could dim the range hood lights if it has them. This is basically an industrial dimmer switch.

Yes that should work, just like any resistive switch.

Works exactly as it should.
Works perfectly with the Vortex fan. Tried another controller but this is the one to buy.
