Description

This lawn tractor from Ariens features twin EZT hydrostatic transaxles that are designed to deliver responsive, smooth, effortless control with speeds of 6 MPH going forward and 3 MPH in reverse. A foot-operated deck lift with simple and intuitive lever offers 7 deck height adjustments from 1.5 to 4.5 inches. Additionally, it features a high back adjustable seat with natural airflow to enhance operator comfort. Backed by Ariens 2 years/150 hours limited warranty.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mememe from Nice mower! I bought this mower assembled and delivered. It's a great mower, but there were problems with the assembly. Bolts were put in backwards on the front casters which were also not greased. One front casters tire was not sitting on the rim properly and came off after one use. Levers needed adjustment and I haven't checked the level and pitch of the deck. Manuals were soaking wet and cannot be spared. This is why I did not give the mower 5 stars. If you buy assembled be sure to check your machine and make sure it's greased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by katM16 from Excellent quality and MADE IN USA! I wanted an Ariens smaller mower but 42" was not available. I decided on the 52". I love that it's commercial grade, fab deck, greasable front wheel assemblies and the Kaw engine. Zero turn is the way to go. Cuts time in half (no pun indended) from a belly mower and there's way less string trimming needed. Even though it's 52", it easily manuvers in and around corners, shrubs, posts, and along walls.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hoop from Great Zero Turn, cuts smooth and even! Bought this a few weeks ago, to cut my 2 acre lot. It cuts better and more even than my son-in- laws Farris. I wanted a mower with the proven Kawasaki motor and a fabricated mower deck. I am not disappointed, the Ariens Edge is a winner!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Fischer from Electrical problems This thing cuts great if you can get it to start. Every 4-6 months I have to replace the battery if I don't disconnect the battery. Even when I take the key out and store it in my heated garage. The starter selonid is always a problem as well. Overall, this has been the worse purchase I have ever made in my entire life. I now dread cutting grass because I know there will be a problem with this mower. Good luck finding a reasonable replacement battery as well. I will never purchase an Ariens product ever again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gmom from Great for grass on a hill and easy to maneuver. This my first time to purchase a mower. The staff guided me and helped determine the right one for my yard. The mower did it’s job. I have a very large yard with a hill and some rough terrain . The mower has a large cutting deck and made fast work of the task. It was easy to maneuver around trees.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MyLarson from This is a beast I bought it because I had a 38" Ariens previously and beat on it for years. I needed a bigger one and this had the amazing Kawasaki engine. It has proven to be an all around amazing mower. I know people complain about little things but that's what they are little things, did you buy this to cut grass then cut grass with it and it does that perfectly !!! I just ordered a bagger !

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mikey from Great mower and a good value I finally sold my fifteen year old traditional style garden tractor and pulled the trigger on a zero-turn. I chose this mower because of several important features. The Kawasaki engine, the fact that, on Ariens zero-turn mowers, you can replace the drive belt without having to drop the electric pto clutch, and there's a foot pedal to raise the deck. This is mainly for setting the deck height adjustment but it's handy for temporarily raising the deck while going over roots or anything else you might not want to hit with the blades. Most of the other residential zero-turns I saw at this price point didn't have this feature. There is a definite learning curve going from a traditional mower to a zero-turn. Five minutes after the first time I mowed with it I lost traction on an incline and drove right off into the woods. A few minutes with a four-wheeler and rope and I was back in business; a little more careful this time. Takes a little practice to keep from sliding the inner tire on turns and causing scuffing of the grass. By the time I finished my five acre front and back, I was pretty comfortable with it. The ease of going around trees, utility poles, bushes, etc., had me kicking myself for not getting this thing years ago. The Kawasaki engine is powerful, starts right up, and I've found it not to be as loud as my previous mower. My only real complaint is the two gallon gas tank is too small. Where it sits, under the seat next to the battery, there is plenty of room to fit a larger tank so there's really no reason they couldn't have given it a little more fuel capacity. And fast? Yeah, even with a 52" deck, slightly smaller than the 54" I was using before, what was once a solid five-hour job is now about three and a half.
