What are the dimensions of the box that the Ariens Deluxe 24-in Two-Stage 254-cc Electric Start Gas Snow Blower with Headlight comes in - need to know if it will fit in a RAV 4
It fit in the back of a regular size pick up truck. It came on a pallet so likely would not fit in your Rav 4.

Does Lowe’s carry shear pins and tire chains for the Ariens Deluxe 24?
Use of the original equipment manufacturer parts is key for compliance with the warranty for the Ariens Deluxe. I bought the parts for my machine at my local outlet of the other US-based hardware chain in Canada. Recommend to make sure the parts are for the Ariens Deluxe not the Compact etc. For the chains, recommend to see the photo at the Ariens website before you shop.

no issues
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product a month ago. I've never owned a snowblower before and paid a truck to do it yearly before I bought it. sometimes the truck would come and sometimes he wouldn't. I wanted this snowblower due to the reviews, the name and my terrible snow plow service . Great choice by me. I got the electric start and on the first try....it started right away. after I was done with my driveway, I decided to do the street too and put that AutoZone in to gear. no issues what so ever. the kids in the neighborhood liked it too after I moved the chute with ease to spray them. now I don't wait on a truck.......my wife now waits on me. yaaaaay

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this two years ago and after two winters in Wisconsin I can't complain. This is the first snowblower I've ever purchased however. Comparing the build quality to the Compact model is no comparison. The Deluxe is better, IMO, all the way around. I have no problem with the drive system as some do but my driveway is all pavement, no gravel. It moves 2 feet of snow with ease and will also move the slush pretty handily. It moves around so easily that my wife will use it (the electric start is a plus for her)! My only real complaint is the light. Some of it shines up in your face, which can be annoying at night. It's not cheap but I'm glad I purchased it.

Handled the Big Storm
The 26" drifts were caused by being plowed in by the village trucks. The 21" high intake on the Ariens Deluxe 24 handled the drifts on the sidewalk with no issues. My 2 car wide driveway was cleared of 12 inches of heavy snow as fast as I drove it. The 3 feet high x 4 feet depth x 15 feet wide snow/ice pile that blocked my driveway was powered into by this baby, no problem.
Advice: Use 2 people for unboxing and setup. I did it myself wishing I had 3 hands. Very heavy machine. Use 2 men to load on a vehicle if it needs service. Good luck trying to find non-synthetic oil for it.

A bit pricy, but worth it
Picked up the 24 inch Deluxe a couple of weeks ago. We've had a 2 small snowfalls 4-7 inches or so since then. The snowblower plowed through it well and chewed up the heavy slushy snow without bogging down. Only 2 things I don't like. First, if aren't 6 feet tall or taller the handles are just too high and are not adjustable. Second, when you engage the handle that moves the blower forward it will buck up on you unless you are careful or set the speed down to mid range. I can't wait to get it out in some deeper snow to see how it handles 12 or more inches. It cut my total time for blowing my driveway and pad in half over my old 22 inch YardMachine. The electric start is a nice feature and it works with a standard 3 prong heavy duty extention cord.

Well worth the money
The throttle is awkward to use. It’s a dial that is hard to reach and somewhat sensitive. The auto turn is nice to have but a little jerky. My old Ariens was a lot easier to control with its version of auto turn. On the plus side it really moves snow and throws it lot further then the old one. I like the chute controls and the light is a nice feature. My favorite new feature is being able to take your hand off the auger lever without it stopping as long as the drive is engaged. The last thing I really like is the 2 speed reverse, it moves a lot faster in reverse then a lot of snowblowers which just creep along.

Good at moving heavy snow.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this just in time for our first New England snowstorm, which was last week. The snow was quite heavy, since it was mixed with some rain, but this snowblower did a good job of moving it. (It was about 6-7" deep.) It was also able to cut through the heavy pile of snow left by street snowplows at the end of my driveway. Before I purchased this snow blower, I also noticed that it has a 254 cc engine; this is the same size engine that is in the 28" wide version of this same machine. (In the Q & A for this machine, the manufacturer states that this engine is rated at 12.5 ft-lbs of torque at 3040 rpm; using the formula hp = ft-lbs torque x rpm/5252, this computes to 7.2 hp.)

Bit of a learning curve
Used a 40 yr old forward/one reverse 4 hp 20" snowblower for the last 20 years. Needed to upgrade as it couldn't handle the plow drifts at the bottom of the driveway (either it couldn't or I couldn't ;-)
Anyways it started up after recognizing how many switches I had to move . Worked flawlessly.
Only issue I have is to remember which handle to release so it stops moving. With practise comes knowledge.
Do not regret getting this unit. Good work Ariens on a fine machine.

Worth the cost
Finally broke down and purchased this 24” Deluxe as my nearly 30 year old MTD has seen better days. After using the Ariens I could kick myself for not buying it sooner. What a big improvement over my old junk. I like the controls, especially that controlling the chute, and the drive system is working fine for me even on gravel.
I especially like the big 16” knobby tires. No chains required here.
Dependable starts without any problems and motors through Minnesota snow like a trooper.
Now I look forward to it snowing so that I can get out there and use my reliable Ariens.
Easy process of purchasing from Lowe’s online too, had it delivered the next day. Doesn’t get any easier than that. Now if I could just get a set of those heated hand grips I’d be set!
