Monster blower
Worked fine on several regular snowfalls earlier in the winter, electric started easily. Put the snowblower away for 2 months. Just had a 14" dump and I had not kept the Airens EFI starter charged. 2-3 pulls and it fired right up. Cut thru drifts up to 20" high like they were 6" deep. Threw the snow 20 ft. A snow monster! My only rap is the way the front skids are set .... it leaves a small layer of snow instead of a clean surface. I think the recomnended setting is designed to protect the blades and I cud set it lower. My old Noma gets down closer to the base, but cant come close to the throwing power

Ariens Deluxe 30 EFI 30-in
EFI Starts instantly both by pull chord or electric start! Throws snow as far as you want...Just increase the throttle and discharge angle to through it further. nice and wide plow path helps to get the job done quickly with one less pass from a smaller width unit. Steers easily... if you have ice chunks or uneven ground it will jerk you back and forth a bit, just put the machine in 1st gear and it will settle it down. Easy for me (5'10" 185) to back up without using the reverse power option. Hand warmer handles are awesome! No more cold hands! I added the spray lube and it keeps the snow from sticking to everything. Great machine, you won't be disappointed.

Keep getting better!
2nd Ariens after owning 1 Toro. First ariens lasted 9 years was also a deluxe 30 but upgrades like the zero turn and electronic fuel injection clearly give this model the edge. Extremely easy pull start always has worked on first pull without fail. Strong machine which is needed for my large double wide driveway in northern Maine. Ariens states this machine can throw snow 50 ft. I have thrown it 70 plus with a breeze behind me and truly love watching it go. I call it my white tornado maker and I think all my neighbors are jealous, I know I would be. Excellent product, bring it on!

Solid, well built and powerful blower
This thing is a an absolute beast. It throws even the heaviest wet snow 30-40 feet across my yard, and it has not clogged on me yet at all. The steering assist takes some getting used to, and it is kind of unpredictable on uneven surfaces, but I have gotten used to it.
I am also not a fan of having the auger handle stay engaged until the drive handle is released, but that was a 30 second fix by pulling a pin from the mechanism.
The EFI engine is amazing... it even starts in cold weather with the pull start (none of my previous snowblowers did).
The assembly isn't difficult, but it does take some adjustments as it breaks in to get all the cable tensions and chute rotation set up.

Do Not Buy this machine
I bought this Ariens EFI Snowblower thinking it would be less maintenance. Bought this machine a year ago and did not know I had to keep the battery charged since it was never used. Went to start it for the first time and it wouldn't start. We need a new battery for a new machine. I have been talking to dealers trying to order the battery which is on back order everywhere including Ariens and they have told me that while they claim gas can be left in the tank, it should not be left more than 30 - 60 days as it has many electronic parts that can get clogged with old gas. I wish I could return this brand new machine.

2021 Ariens Deluxe 30 EFI.. Looks Impressive...
Came 95% assembled. Enclosed box versus box on top of pallet like in the past. Easy assembly, probably 30 minutes give or take. Waiting for that 1st storm of the season to try, and I'll update my review.
Fit and finish is excellent. Controls came pre adjusted, or needed minimal tweaks. Instructions are very detailed, and videos are available to aid in assembly. IMO, a well-built machine, but I'll hold off any additional comments till after I get to use it.

Assembly
Who ever put it together didn’t do a good job. The speed selector was off 3 adjustments and it took 45 minutes to readjust the discharge chute deflector lever. we had to tie clip tie the cable to the frame in order to get the full range of deflection. The way it came would only shoot the snow almost straight up. It starts up great and throws snow well now but I paid to have it assembled and delivered and the assembler either didn’t care about the job he did or didn’t know what he was doing.

gave up after 2 tries
my experience with this blower has been frustrating. the engine works great, starts easily, lots of power, tosses the snow a good distance. but there appears to be a serious design flaw. after only a short time of use, one of the two rotors/augurs started scraping the housing around it. then the shear bolt broke off. but it was impossible to replace this bolt, or to repair the damage done by the scraping to the housing. so i returned for a refund. thought it was just a fluke so i purchased a new replacement of the same model. same thing happened again. the shear bolt broke off quickly. but the augur had shifted along the axle so could not replace with a new bolt, and found the auger was scraping anyway, so could not rotate freely. these flaws are a shame as the EFI is a nice addition to these blowers.
