I set the temperature at 19 degrees. The fans is on but stays on 20. Does the fan stay on? Can I set it to anything or is it one speed? Senior trying to figure out the details.Ha

Hello, Bruce53. Thank you for your inquiry on the Arctic King Portable Air Conditioner. In regard to your question, your installation location should meet the following requirements: Make sure that you install your unit on an even surface to minimize noise and vibration. The unit must be installed near a grounded plug, and the Collection Tray Drain (found on the back of the unit) must be accessible. The unit should be located at least 30 cm (12") from the nearest wall to ensure proper air conditioning. DO NOT cover the Intakes, Outlets or Remote Signal Receptor of the unit, as this could cause damage to the unit. The Window Installation Kit fits windows 67.5-123 cm(26.5-48”) and can be shortened for smaller windows. Arctic King Customer Care.

It’s the Humidity… from
Maybe too humid here?
The machine works fine, but unfortunately it drains way too much water. I just woke up and the bucket I use to drain the water (because just using the tray the machine would shut down after an hour) had spilled over (emptied before bed, probably 7 hours of filling). Québec where I am is pretty humid I guess, so a unit you can drain outside would have been better. Everything otherwise works fine. Unit is a bit loud, but it looks decent by itself. As others have mentioned, wrapping the venting hose in insulation wrap is a must, that hose gets VERY hot.

Terrible
Bought this artic king air conditioner in 2021. Total run time 2 weeks in 2021 2 weeks in 2022, pulled it out in July 2023 to a useless unit. And their customer service 1 866 646 4332 number in manual is OUT OF SERVICE. Do not recommend this unit whatsoever.

J'ai acheté ce climatiseur l'été dernier pour une personne en CHSLD et il a bien fonctionné. Il est assez simple à utiliser, a une manette, et il est programmable. C'est un peu bruyant, comme tous les climatiseurs de ce genre.
