How does the camera hold up outside in winter? Would the battery die in very cold days?
We'll mine has gone through last winter, without an issue. I just purchased two more for outside, I liked the camera so much. I'll see how it holds up for the second winter. I only use the cameras from midnight to 6 am. If you use your camera more then it will use more battery power, so I wouldn't know how long it will last.

Could I hear birds singing with this unit<
The Blink cameras record audio as well as video in the motion clips, you are also able to hear audio within the live view mode as well.

Does a light come on whenever the sensor is activated ?
There is a blue recording light indicator that comes on when motion is detected or you access the live view however this light can also be enabled or disabled within the camera settings in the APP based on your preference

It is written that it works with Smartthings but this camera is not listed on Smartthings Website as compatible https://www.smartthings.com/products/-/filter/categories/cameras-and-doorbells and is not listed in Smartthings app. How to link it?

If I buy a one camera system, do I need to buy an add on or can I just buy 2
We do have the add-on cameras that can be added to any existing Blink System. You can have up to 10 Blink devices per sync module as long as they are all within the 100ft operating range of the sync module in any direction. The cameras on the sync module can be in any combination.

Excellent Security Camera
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very happy with this security system. I can now catch the people who keeps coming into my yard. With the app I can see, hear and speak to whomever is in my yard that is not suppose to be. You can customize the motion zones so you can be alerted, there is a two-year battery life, you can view live in HD day or night, and record & store video clips to the cloud storage or to the Blink Sync Module 2. It is definitely weather resistant. We have had some freezing rain and the camera system still works great. If your looking for a great security system to protect your home, then this is definitely the one.

Simple and Dependable Home Protection
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed the Blink system at our home this week and I’m already impressed. Setup was very simple ... just had to download the app and scan the QR codes on the synch unit and both cameras. The synch unit is small and is easy to place anywhere in your home. Cameras are compact and easy to mount with included brackets. Entire process took us about 30 minutes. I’m very impressed by image quality, and I really appreciate the night mode. System worked well instantly. My only negative is I wish I could choose a different tone for alerts. It just gives off a subtle ding, and there is currently no option to change up that sound.

Great cameras!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Setup was a breeze. The Blink app is very user friendly and walks you through the quick setup. The cameras are easy to mount and look sleek. They are battery-powered and weatherproof, so they don’t need to be near an outlet and can be mounted anywhere.
I like that I can arm the cameras to get alerts through the app and disarm them when I know there will be people walking back and forth and don’t want to be disturbed. The cameras get a very clear picture, even at night. The sound quality is superb. It’s nice to be able to speak back to the camera through the app. My kids think it's hilarious! I would definitely recommend the outdoor cameras for peace of mind.

Very easy to set up, with very detailed information about the system and instructions on how it operates. It connects to your WiFi, you download the app and it works incredibly well. The cameras are crystal clear, and it notifies you of any motion detection going on outside your house from your phone with a crystal clear live video surveillance. You can also link your system to any other blink systems in your neighborhood if you wanted to. I also love that I can speak through my phone and it will transmit outside through either camera to whoever is at the door. Outstanding security system for my home! I highly recommend!

Waste of time and money!
Spent hours trying to setup the module to our wifi, called tech support and spent another hour plus with zero results. Crappy software, many complaints online.
Tried to reset module and wifi router many times zero results. Very frustrated, getting a refund. Don't waste your time and money on Blink! Crap!

Daytime pics are great, nighttime not so much
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this system because I can monitor things happening at my house when I’m at work. I don’t like the fact that the IR pics don’t show anything.
Setting up the system was a little challenging on my phone. I couldn’t get the sync module to connect at all on my phone. Then I tried It on my iPad and was able to connect without a hitch. I wouldn’t have known to try that if I didn’t google the symptoms for a while though.
The cameras were easy to set up and mount. They have a swivel connection so you can adjust the angles to your needs.
So far I haven’t had any trouble receiving photos or video when I’m away from home so it’s doing it’s job as far as I can tell.
It’s definitely not a high end system but for what it’s worth, you can’t ask for much more.

It was very easy to set up and connect to the app. The pictures, videos and sound are amazing. I like the fact that I can see a live feed and it capture movement recording it. It gives you an alarm on the phone. If you are looking for a security system this one is perfect. I highly recommend it.

Great for Security
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my Blink outdoor 2 camera system a few weeks back and I love it. Very easy to mount outside. It has an app that easily linked to the camera's. It comes with the ability to have 2 way conversation, you can check on your home even while being away from home. It has infrared lighting so you can easily see at night. The app even lets you record if needed and its Alexa compatible.
