Can you cut the legs to make it shorter? The distance between my deck and soffit is 92"
Yes, we had to because our soffit was shorter. Metal grinder or hack saw worked.

Sadly our deck is only 9 ft wide... I was wondering if the legs were adjustable on this unit? This was we could put the front legs on the grass and the back legs on the deck. Thank you
No they are not adjustable. You would have to figure out a way to support the front legs separately.

Are the roof panels removable with dis-assembling the frame for winter times ?
yea, either you move the structure away from the wall its leaning from and remove the way you installed or you can drill out the rivets on the front and replace with stainless bolts to be able to remove from the front if the back has been permanently attached.

Belle structure, mais les Rideaux ???
Bonne structure dans l'ensemble, mais pas un projet pour les impatients... Prévoir des bras supplémentaires, énormément de pièces à assembler et embouter. Ne pas assembler trop près de son emplacement mural, car les panneaux du toit s'insèrent par la partie haute. (Coté mur). Cependant, les moustiquaires, et rideaux coupe vent, sont trop grands et lâches en rapport avec les trop peu nombreuses attaches, et le vent les fait fouetter désagréablement. A mon avis, ça a du être conçu dans un hangar sans ventilation ! Je devrai trouver un moyen de stabiliser ces pièces de tissus, mais pas évident à moins d'ajouter des œillets au bas des rideaux, avec ancrages amovibles. Si j'avais su ...

Looks great. A few tricks to it.
Bought last week. The guy said I need a truck to take it home. I put the back seat of my s7nfire down. I open the big box and put the two small boxes in the car then opened the box with posts and piled them in. The box with the panels went on the roof no problem.
I didn't fasten the rails as per instructions. I moved them down one rail then put the panels in first. Once the panels are in you can move them in place.

Beauty to behold - allow time to put up
We bought this May 2021 from an out of town store. Had to drive to pick it up from where we are in Kamloops British Columbia, Canada. They brought it out to our truck as one big 500 lb box which contains four boxes but divided it for us into the 4 large and heavy boxes within the one box. If you can have it delivered do that. If not have a BIG truck and at least three strong people to move boxes and reasonable storage til you’re ready to put it up and help opening the boxes. You’ll need a screwdriver. If you take it home thinking you’re putting it up that day you’ve read none of these reviews nor the questions and answers nor watched the Video that exists on its installation. Take it back. You can’t do this one without doing the prep :). It is not for the impatient.
The day before the instal (where you have at least 2 people who can run power tools and are good reading instructions lined up to help) do the following:
- ensure everyone coming brings a ladder. Most of the work is done up ladders past step 4 of 20
- send the video link found in the questions and answers section on this unit to everyone coming to install
-read every review and question posed with answers. Key shortcuts are listed and proves invaluable. Share those by email with your installers.
-pull the instructions, 4 sets of hardware packets out of box 1 and go make copies of the two sets of instructions for each installer who is coming. DON’T skip this!!!
- ensure you have living space to install. We have yard space to begin with then it needs to stand erect at least four feet in front of where it is going to reside in order to slide the roof panels in which INEXPLICABLY are installed from the side that abuts the wall. Not the front “free access” side. If you’re installing on a deck that JUST fits this unit see other posts for solutions.
- make shade available to your installers. Once the frame is built it’s 10x12 and they are up on ladders. Hard to install in a shady place and carry it elsewhere without four people. So have shade available. We built this on the hottest day. It was brutal
- section hardware by steps with the pieces and hardware needed for each step clearly labeled. I used groceries bags and resealable bags, paper and a black felt pen. This will save you hours on the day. I’m type a and my husband is type b and he hugged me for an hour for doing this. It took 5 hours for me to do this
-take ALL the plastic coating off the panels and label them again for install (r1, r2, r3, and label which side faces up) - I didn’t do this and it took 30 -45 minutes to do near the end of a hot day
-have sharp edge for removing facing on roof panels. I got this tip from other reviews and it was bang on. I scored it along where the metal edges were. Twice scored for each side and then had to cut a corner to get it started. Poked thru the polycarbonate twice. Do this IN SHADE! They peel off much more difficultly if panels are hot not was 34 C the day of install.
On the day of the install:
- have music
-have water - have patience
-have the packet of spare pieces handy. Used several despite all prep
-allow for 6-8 hours (instructions say 60-90 minutes - this is laughable....later, you will laugh much later)..
-feed and water everyone
-show gratitude. This is hard work but so gratifying
A few things now it’s up:
- the panels on roof show the dirty hand marks of installers. If this drives you nuts buy a squeegee with an edge. It’s labour intensive and a waste of our efforts we’ve decided trying to keep them from looking streaky and muddy. If anyone has found solution to this let me know
- ours is up because it’s 42 celcius on our deck surface from 10 am til sun goes down. It’s a sun shade but light can get in so with doors all closed it gets hot like a tent. Consider a mister system and a fan. Game changer.
- we didn’t bracket it to the house. Put one mounting screw (that we had to buy ourselves - comes with spikes for soft ground) in for each leg (not even four per which you can do) and it’s holding up for 60k winds. We did this to be able to say it’s a free standing gazebo in case anyone questioned whether we needed a permit. Which we didn’t get.
- we missed making sure one of the last two roof panels we installed were locked together. The panels go in 3-2-1 with 2 and 1 locking to each other. This prevents the middle panel from just sliding forward in heavy wind or blowing rain due to gravity. We missed ONE. This is the only place it leaks in heavy rain (not light rain). We had a day with wind and rain and dry as a bone except in that spot -
we bought a large tarp and we will be leaving the structure up year round. We get snow but not tons and will be reinforcing the ceiling with pillars (that don't come with it). We will push the panels closest to house so they are not exposed to tons of snow weight and we will tarp the whole thing and store outdoor furniture, etc under it for winter. We might even hope to use it in winter
- it has three, not four, sided mosquito netting so mosquitos get in on the side not sealed. We have brick work on the bottom 1/4 of our house and it has a decorative “lip” or ledge where the brick work begins so ours has a gap of 2 inches between wall of house and leg of gazebo. They get in there. Mosquito netting on 4 sides would help with that so if Manufacturers care I’d add that along with a way to instal roof panels from front and clear labelling of front and back main posts and main cross beams - when you are pulling parts out label the first big four stabilizing pieces for front end and house end and same with ceiling cross beams.
-the zippers have tiny pulls and get tiresome but we need the sun and big screens closed where we are entering for all uses. You have to step on the bottom corner of your shade to get the slack you need to pull zipper up and it looks very dirty down there.
We love this gazebo and have used our gazebo more in the past week than at any time in the 2.5 years since we bought our house - so worth it. Hope this helps but read everyone’s review - don’t skimp on prep. If you’re lazy and don’t follow instructions move on. This ain’t for you!

Poor roof.
We purchased one and set it up last year. It was great!!!
Then the hailstorms came and punched hole on the top. Replacement cost is $60. Per panel x 10 panels.
Do not buy if you live in a hail storm area.

On aime même sous la pluie
Le meilleur achat que l'on pouvait faire! C'est très solide, étanche, facilement adaptable avec le toit ouvrant et les toiles et grillage des côtés, protège du soleil. Les instructions sont très bonnes. Le problème, a part que c'est très pesant (c'est solide), c'est que c'est fait pour aller contre la maison, mais il doit être monter puis glisser contre la maison car les vitres s'installent du cote du mur de la maison. Comme notre installation est ceinturé de tous les côtés, on a du innover. Nous avons installer les panneaux de vitre par le bas, côté opposé à la maison, en repliant les ailettes des vitres qui sont fixent en haut du gazebo. Puis on déplie les ailettes une fois en place. Beaucoup plus facile comme ça, c'est incompréhensible que l'installation ne se fait pas comme ça!

Love the versatility. Peeling the panels was awful
Love that you can adjust the amount of sun, the back of it is nice and high as to not cover the window from the house.
Let’s talk about building it.... oof. There was two sets of instructions, use both. Use one for the written explanations and the other for the photos. Great option to mount down and to the wall for those windy days. No Mary Poppins here.
***When it comes to the panels, you MUST use a sharp edge to cut the film and then peel. Do not try to peel without cutting. Leaves peeled residue, looks awful***

Roof panels weaken with sun exposure
We bought one of these years ago, we have a south facing backyard and they weakened the roof panels so when a hailstorm hit it left hundreds of holes in it. We also received netting that had 2 of the same zipper ends meet up on one side, when we contacted Rona they said they’d look into it, they never got back to us despite calling several times. The frame is good though, and it’s better now that we spent another thousand replacing the roof panels with something sturdier.
