Is the canopy waterproof? Does it provide privacy?
It is not waterproof. The canopy only gives you semi shade from the sun light. Privacy depends on where you install.

What are the exact dimensions of.... a) the FOOTPRINT of this pergola b) the OVERALL width and length, including any overhead/overhanging protrusions c) the HEIGHT at the corners as well as at the PEAK of the curved ceiling struts? Thx.
I just put mine up yesterday and the width is 10' but there're is also the the added pieces on top that protrudes out adding to that measurement approx 7"/side so i would say 11' 2" topfor width and depth.
For the front/back bar going across those arches so the height is approx 8'7" . That's my avg measure/guess as I'm short & my measuring tape wasn't cooperating, but i hope this little helps some.

What size of concrete screw to use to secure
The package comes with the appropriate screws for the concrete/interlock titles to secure it. It's around 8 inches long. But mine is not secured to the floor. But is it recommended if it not covered by a fench.

Hi there, I am thinking of purchasing this Pergola but after reading the reviews I am worried about the rust that leaks from the hardware it seems. Is it the screws that are used or what is causing the rust?
We sprayed all the screws and bolts with rust inhibitor before installing then again after installation. Seems to be working fine. No rust.

Beautiful!
I purchased this at the end of May and had to wait 6 weeks for it, but it was worth it! Couple issues with a part that needs to be replaced and it came with a large scratch on one of the posts.
It is big, beautiful and makes a statement. I'm very happy with the pergola ad it appears to well made. I had concrete footings poured for it and paid someone to install it. I'm concerned about the rusting issue and will take some of the advice in other reviews in how to prevent it.
Looking forward to many hours relaxing under it. The ability to move the shade is fantastic as the house has a southern exposure.
Highly recommend!

The ad says - durable powdercoat to resist rust
I purchased the pergola exactly 4 weeks ago - the ad specifically says "Durable, powder-coated finish resists rust, corrosion, and chips" ... so far I have rust on 7 of the 8 corner support brackets - I also have a rust stain on the canopy from rust coming out of the end beam and dripping down the canopy. I have contacted Allen & Roth and asked for replacement supports & canopy but was told even though it was $649.00 and it is only 4 weeks old that their manual does not say that it covers rust or damage from rust even though the ad indicates that it does. It is a beautiful design and I can fix the rust spot ( even though at 4 weeks I should not have to) but Allen & Roth are of no help what so ever so beware of what you buying.

J’ai fait l’achat en avril dernier et ai commencé à monter les pièces dans mon garage. L’installation extérieure s’est réalisée à la fin juin.
WoW! Vraiment pratique et beau.
Déception en début septembre et je l’ai démonté puisque la ROUILLE s’est installée. Ni la compagnie ni Rona n’a de garantie pour la rouille. J’ai donc payé 600$ pour une utilisation de 2 mois. Vraiment décevant et inacceptable!!! Surtout que nous avons eu un été presque sans pluie...

Great value for dollar
I thought they did a great job in designing and engineering this product. Easy to assemble, sturdy, consistent use of parts and looks good. I was able to assemble it myself but advise getting a bit of help. Only had it for a day but we are looking forward to using it since the sun usually kept us out of the backyard for too long.

Great structure
I love this pergola! Great design! I read the reviews carefully and have some suggestions that address some of the reviews:
1. I added clear silicon caulking and gorilla tape as someone suggested at all the Screws and joints. So far we have had 2 weeks of heavy rainfall in Vancouver and no rust.
2. Someone mentioned that you can’t have both sides of the share up. I’m not sure if they had a different model, but mine came with these spring loaded pins, you can hitch both sides of the fabric
Up using these. Just slightly fold the fabric.
3. It took about 3 hours for my husband and I to put this together. It is not hard but time consuming because you basically have to repeat each step 4 to 16 times!
Overall I love this pergola!

looks great
we installed it yesterday. Although it took more than an hour it was easy to put together. Instructions were clear and all components were included; on a few steps where we weren't sure, we watched the video and got it done. It looks fabulous on our new deck. We have the flexibility of letting the breeze and sun come in or not. It is not like being inside a structure which is exactly what we were looking for.

Looks great, but came with damaged parts
Bought this a few days ago and are really enjoying it. Took a bit to put up and unfortunately found several pieces that were damaged. Not sure who to contact about this as the phone number on the pamphlet is incorrect and we weren’t about to take it all down and take it back.
