Calcium Chloride Works!
For several winters I have purchased this and it was hard to test results. This year I think I will just go ahead and recommend it. This product doesn't melt ice visibly. It is best put on sidewalks and driveways (safe for new concrete too as it doesn't contain salt), right before it snows. You will notice that your walks and driveway will clear sooner, even in very cold weather. This year was particularly pronounced, as my brick pavers were all melted while the sand lines still have snow on them. It is pricey though as it takes a lot of product, but it lasts for awhile. For cost savings, just use this liquid on slopes or other places where there is regular icy build up.

No difference than just using Alaskan Ice Melter
Absolutely no difference than using regular Alaskan Ice Melter, except that's it's more expensive for less. Just use the regular stuff before a snowfall.

Does not dispense easily enough to be of use
I picked this up a few weeks ago, as we have terrible is problems on the north side sidewalk around our house. I was hoping to use to prevent some ice, as I go through a bag a week of the rock salt. I cannot give a fair review of the actual product, as the dispenser is terrible, and really doesn't work. I will have to drill out the holes or something to use, and then see if the product actually works. Hope they fix the design of the bottle

Don't waste even 1 cent.
This item was useless. I used an entire bottle (At a cost of roughly 14 dollars) prior to the storm the next day. I woke up in the morning expecting to see a black driveway... instead it was covered in snow exactly like my neighbors. There was no difference. WASTE OF MONEY.

Amazing Product
I use this product on the inside and outside of my deck doors. I pour a small quantity into a small container (fabric conditioner lid) and gently pour it onto the ice at the bottom of the door, After a lot of cracking of the ice, the door opens, and will now close properly. I wouldn't be without it. I am also pleased with using it on steps prior to a snowfall which is what it is intended to be used for!!!
