Description
This Agri-Fab dethatcher effectively loosens and lifts thatch for healthy lawn growth. Your mower creates a layer of dead grass between the soil and leaves of the grass plant, which weakens the grass roots. This dethatcher can be towed by any tractor or ATV. It has 20 heat-treated steel tines with a 3/16-in diameter. Hitch pin and 7-in transport wheels included. This product is backed by a 3-year limited warranty.
- Tine dethatchers do a gentle job of bringing matted layers of thatch and large clippings to the surface for a healthy lawn
- 40-in weight tray
- Twenty durable spring tines for easy thatch removal
- The 40-in tray holds up to 70lbs for added soil penetration
- Transport handle for easy raising and lowering of the tines
- Semi pneumatic tires
- Some assembly required
- Durable heavy-gauge steel deck and welded draw bar
- Universal hitch fits any tractor regardless of brand

Good and well designed product
It’s easy to assemble. I only wish it had more tines. Otherwise it’s what I needed for my lawn.

Holy Cow. this thing worked! My first pass I realized I had not bent the tabs enough to hold in tines as three sets came out. After fixing that, it performed perfectly

Great product except the handle.
Wonderful product except for the lift handle. The second time I used it the handle bent. I removed the handle and engineered a new one out of 3/4” square tubing. This was the only issue I had with this product.

Flimsy construction but gets the job done
The construction of the unit is not heavy enough to support the weight of 2 concrete blocks which are often added to the unit to provide more weight and a deeper "Drag" to get compacted thatch to the surface. When I added two blocks, the arm that raises and lowers the wheels bent and would not stay in the designed slot for operation so I had to wedge a piece of wood against the metal arm so that it would stay in place. I ultimately took one block off and drug the yard with only one block attached. The unit works, as it brings a significant amount of thatch to the surface, but the construction is pretty flimsy. I'd pay more for a higher quality build if I were doing it again.

Works Great!
Used it on a couple acres of lawn & it really raked out the thatch. If you have a large lawn like I do you may also want to follow it up with a sweeper. Which I have so the whole job was fast and easy. On the spots where the thatch was really heavy, I just made a couple of passes across it from different directions.

Dethatcher 40 aka rake
It works as it should. Construction is a little flimsy. Setup for leveling can be tricky. More like rake than actual dethatcher.

This thing works!
I put this purchase off for way too long! I never imagined the amount of thatch this would pull from my yard which is much cleaner and more healthy now. The only reason for 4 stars is the lever for raising and lowering the thatcher is a bit too thin and easy to bend with recommended weight added. Otherwise, it works great for what I need.
