Description
With Filtrete Smart Air filters, it's easy to get cleaner, fresher air in your home. These filters effectively attract and trap particles such as bacteria, viruses, mould spores, and pollen so that you can breathe easier. This particular model measures 20 inches x 25 inches and boasts an MPR of 1500. It comes with a Bluetooth sensor that allows you to connect to the Filtrete Smart Air Filter app to track things like how old your filter is and when you need to replace it. The app will even remind you what size filter you need and where you can buy one. Plus, it can give you information about outdoor air quality for multiple locations. The app is compatible with iOS and Android. Note that this filter is for residential use only.

Don’t even think about it.
Not very smart. It would not pair on my iPhone 14 pro or my iPad Pro. My devices can see it just fine, even devices of my neighbors; Everything i want to pair takes but a moment to pair. So what is the major malfunction here? I gave up and removed the app. Fast forward 3 months to change filters. Nope, not going to pair. Complete waste of money.

Unacceptable amount of time remove used filter!
My issue is with the next to impossible removal of this filter from my HVAC unit. The cardboard warped and therefore it had to be practically destroyed to remove it from it's spot. Maybe a little hook on the side to help remove it or something. It shouldn't take 20 minutes to take it out to replace it!

Filtrate with "Smart App"
I bought a Filtrate 1500 with the Yellow Smart App. NEVER Again.
The App did NOT mate with my I-Phone. I barely got the filter intalled into the furnace holder. I had a very tough time removing the Filter from the Furnace blower unit. Normally this is easy. The Yellow unit interfered with the hardware in the furnace. Now, I have to remove the Yellow unit from the Filter and dispose of it as Hazardous Waste. That is according to the instructions. Do NOT buy these Filters with the so-called yellow Smart App. I am now looking at a different Filter.

I don't have to remember
I am finding that this is the less expensive choice, it costs more, but lasts longer. Before I was changing the filter every month, and it really did need it.

Conflicting Reporting
I purchsed a 2 pack of the 1500 in early Feb and installed one upon arrival. Then I went through the iPhone App download, registration process which was quite easy. But in the 1st quarter of any year we barely run our system as we live in AZ. So maybe it would run for 15 minutes in the morning just to break the overnight chill out of the air. Then by the end of Feb we didn't run our systems at all. But I noticed that the lifecycle of the filter in was diminishing. So I logged on to the website to see what in was there. The App shows 75% life remaining but the website shows 95%, which is probably about right. So I would recommend checking things out on the website before replacing.

Excellent filter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is the usual high quality one expects from 3M. Received it as a sample but have bought. All 3m products are, of course, first rate and this one is no exception. When looking for furnace filters you would not go wrong buying this

Bluetooth device locked up
Just bought new filter today. At first attempt it paired up just fine during initial set up. Now that I’ve logged back in and ready to use, app says the sensor is locked.

Best filter ever !!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that this the Filtrete™ Smart Air Filter works with my phone letting me know when it needs changing. I'm sure I was wasting money by changing other filters every month because some months there's more dust & pollen. It even has an alarm app with a message to change it. Awesome technology with this filter. This is now on my list to buy again and again!
