If I leave this at my cabin over the winter, will the oil freeze & burst the container? How low can the temperature go without harming it. I live in Canada, not California.
We have several of these which we use in our seasonal mobile home in the spring and fall. We store these over the winter in our unheated mobile home as we only use it for the summer months. Ours have never frozen and burst and we are in Canada also. It is not this exact model but similar.

Do they work if you turn them on their side. Was thinking of having it under my dinette seat in trailer so that it's out of the way.
Most of these space heaters have overheat and tip-over protection so I doubt it would work at all unless in an upright position. I would suggest looking at an under-cabinet space heater for your needs. They are element forced air and not radiant like this one so there is a fan that will make some noise. On the plus side they do heat a space up much faster. Good luck

at what temperatre does the anti freeze setting turn the heater off?
Does this heater come back on by it’s self after the power goes out and comes back on or do you have to go turn it back on. I want it as a back up heater while we are gone. But if the power goes out while we are away and it doesn’t come back onThen it do
The lights in my heater are broken The two switches have markings with min 1 and max 2. I have always been confused which position is on.
What does the anti-freeze setting do and how do you enable it?
Are these units hot to touch?
is this product suitable to heat a room all winter in minus temperatures ?

Avoid!
I bought this item one and a half years ago. that's how long it lasted. All junky, and designed to fail from the thermostat after a season or two. you might say, well 1.5 years for it lasting is not bad! but, no, count how many hours of operation did it have before failing! as they sit the entire spring, summer and fall collecting dust. I calculated, that this product worked for me from 45-50 days. needed it for auxiliary heating in my bedroom. very disappointed! I don't recommend this product to anyone.

This is a great space heater at a great price.
I actually have three of these heaters. I have a programmable thermostat in my house and it is set to drop to 18 degrees during the day. I use one of these units in each of my two home offices to heat the offices and only the offices. As advertised there's no use heating the entire house for the day when I can simply heat the offices. The third unit is in a TV room in the basement. The heater is quiet (no fan...perfect) which is important to me. Easy to figure out the setting you require to heat a room to the temperature you prefer. Remember it's an "Oil-Filled Radiant Tower Electric Space Heater".......it takes a little while for the unit to warm up and bring the room to temperature.

Simple
So perfect for my cold bedrooms, doesn't take up a lot of floor space and I'm not worried about the dogs burning their tales if they get too close. And the DeLonghi website sells parts if the dials fail.

Very reliable, and comfortable heater
I had 2 of this Brand heaters that was 8 years old never failed to function in Toronto that I gave away to friends when I moved here. It never dries the air in the room. Very comfortable to use. It could be costly to buy in the beginning but will never fail you for years to come.

Good heat dissipation POOR power settings
Good heat dissipation POOR power settings. The thermostat is rotatory style and is fairly accurate as in any other make. The power settings uses 2 switches 700W and 800W together they make 1500W. point is there is only a 100w difference between low (700W) and medium (800W). Also the carry handle is made of rubber that easily gets dirty. On the plus side there is no assembly required for the wheels, they fold in and out easily for storage.

Great heater
Oil filled heater does not dry out my skin like the other ceramic or fan heaters. The ambient heat is very comfortable. We have one in each of our bedrooms and purchased this extra one for my elderly mother. It was important to not have digital controls or complex settings as these can fail under prolong heating. The simplicity of this heater was just perfect. Would highly recommend this heater.

Works well
I bought this model so I would not have to attach wheels. I forgot to pay attention to the body - my fault. My last heater had encased fins and this one needs to be kept so far away from curtains as to render it useless for my bedroom.
Up to you to decide what features are most important for your needs.
Puts out heat and does it quietly.

Works very well, heats up very fast!
I am extremely happy with this product! It heats up very fast on max setting and you have the option to choose a lower wattage energy saving mode at the flick of the switch. We keep the heater unplugged when not in use. Unlike digitally controlled heaters, you have to program the setting every time you plug it in.
