Better Than Polyethylene Tubing
I needed to replace the stiff black Polyethylene Tubing on my automatic Pentair pool chlorinator. The existing tubing was extremely stiff and kinked with even the slightest bend. This Vinyl Tubing product was the perfect solution because it is extremely flexible and chemical (chlorine) resistant. It also has the benefit of being clear so that I can see the water flowing through the tube and know immediately if the chlorinator is working properly.
Although I did not need a 10 ft roll, it was still significantly cheaper than replacing the existing 8 inch OEM product from the local pool supply store.

When to purchase Clear Vinyl Tubing
It is nice to be able to purchase vinyl tubing by the foot. You can purchase only what you need for your project. I purchased the last 20 to 25 feet of tubing that was left on the roll. I was a little disappointed when I went to use the tubing. I found that if you get the last of the tuing on the roll it ends up flat and kinks alot when you try to use it. It ends up being very difficult to use especially when it is cold. I recommend purchasing this type of tubng from a full roll and avoid the last 20 to 30 feet of this product.

clear vinyl tubing
The only round part of the tubing was the first two inches. The rest had been rolled flat and was unusable but I didn't notice it until I got home and attempted to use it. Lately, I've noticed that Lowe's overall quality of products is getting worse and worse.

Because it's not in the product description, I bought this online only to find after traveling to the store that it's not round. It's elliptical. NOT at all what I wanted or needed.
So I had to waste time in the store returning it and finding some 1/2" ID round tubing on my own. Thankfully they did have some round 1/2" ID tubing in stock, but it was only 10'-0" long pre-cut instead of the 20'-0" length that I wanted.
