Pocket Plane is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 42.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from So easy to use I used this to trim down the edge of a new door that was slightly sticking and it worked great! I would equate this to using a medium grain sandpaper. This plane is well-designed. I had no hand fatigue whatsoever and no "oops" from it twisting or bucking. It worked so well that my brother-in-law swiped it from me, so I guess I'll be buying another one! The blade is easy to change, assuming you could wear this one out. A Lowes associate recommended this one to me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from rasp like device This item seems to work pretty well - I got the smaller one. Blades are almost as much as the tool to replace (hmm). It is easy to use. works much like a rasp, except that the blades clean out by themselves a lot better (like a plane) - without having to brush it out. However, I would not recommend it as a file, because the blade is flexible and would not allow for precise filing. Like a rasp that can remove material and with or across the grain. Useful for working at a rough level and then finishing with other things. Handle shape is not great but works OK with my hand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product I bought one a few years ago and love it. The design fits my hand well, and I've never had any problems with it that I can think of. I just bought a new one recently because I seemed to have misplaced my original. Great product from my point of view.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Complain I purchased one of these to remove splinters and soften a wooden palet which my wife plans to use for crafting. It exceed my expectations for I was also able to round off the edges and corners on the wood giving it a little worn or vintage look. I just hope to be able to find replacement files easily.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Broke Right Away I am doing a small drywall job in my basement. I bought this to sand down the edges. I was on my first or second piece and the screw holding the blade on snapped. I then realized that it was made of plastic. Not the most durable tool. I ended up going to Ace to find one that was made with all metal.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average at best... I used this tool to trim the end of a baseboard flush to the corner of a wall. I found it extremely difficult to hold while using it. The tool could use a better handle design.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from did the job basic plane, but ideal for the job it needed to do-planing a door that was caching the jamb
