Pleasant Hearth 4-Piece Log Brackets is rated

Hint, attach the uprights to the bracket with screws before assembling the base and pre-drill the screw holes.
This was made in China and the brackets are 1/2" larger than a 2x4. This means the brackets don't fit snugly and there is a lot of wobble. You can prevent some of this by really tightening down the screws but in the end, I braced the upright posts with additional lumber and screws.
I purchased two sets. I'm returning one of them. I'll keep the one I used because it's just too much trouble to dismantle the entire thing for a return.

Smart, minimalist design - bad screws
The design is simple and smart. You actually need more than 4 2x4's though for the small pieces that make up the end-bottoms. I didn't calculate for that and other systems like this don't require it. My big complaint is that the screws that ship with the unit are cheapo and I sheared off 3 of them before giving up and using my own drywall screws to assemble the unit. This is after even trying to drill pilot holes for the screws, which frankly you shouldn't need to do.

Waste of money
If you already need screws, just use screws. Epic waste of money

Hilds the wood securely
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this a few months ago, and it has helped a lot. By keeping the wood in place and and secure. Its very sturdy.
