Rated 2 out of 5 by Bernadette from Designed for structural engineers Lovely piece of decor but there are no written instructions. just pictures. My husband and I spent at least six-hours putting together and then taking apart due to the lack of written direction. Not everyone is good at deciphering small schematics so unless you are degreed in engineering I would say go for something else. On a positive note however, the glass shelves really are tempered. Definitely better tempered than I after dealing with this bookcase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Yes, it is a bit of work to put together all the parts, but the picture instructions were clear and the parts are clearly labeled. One learns to catch the details for how each piece is oriented, but it was sort of fun. It is well built. One glass shelf came broken, but calling the Monarch customer support was easy and they shipped a free replacement quickly with no hassle. I would recommend it to anyone who is the least bit handy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MMMcN from Time consuming assembly Took three hours for a friend and me to assemble. Instructions were just diagrams, and some pieces were missing their number labels. Others did not align properly, in particular the top half of the four end supports. Pleased with final result. It will do for what I wanted it for.
