MINI SAW ATTACHMENT is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Binding and burning I was excited to see this product in my local hardware store because it is just what I needed to cut 5mm plywood from a small boat hull. Since 5mm is <1/4", I didn't think there would be a problem. Although it cuts, I can't make a cut without the wood burning and needing to make multiple passes. The blade binds so quickly (at high speed) that I have to try and run the same cut line multiple times. In addition, it is difficult to see where the blade is cutting under the shield. It is easy to over and undershoot the ends of a cut because you are guessing where your blade actually is. I hope that Dremel improves this or makes better blades available.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from M670 Mini Saw Does not attach safely! I purchased this to use with my Dremel 2001. I installed per paper AND video instructions but its not tightening down. The black portion that goes over the aluminum collet is useless. if I don't physically hold the tool on, it will fall completely off the dremel. Very disappointed in not only this product but the motors in the Dremel. It used to be a quality product but has since gone downhill over the last decade or so. I don't use my Dremel heavily, but I had to replace a previous dremel because the motor died and even the replacement about a month in, the motor cycles way too high on the high setting and the low is too low.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke my dremel I used this a couple times on small projects for thin wood and it worked fine. Then, I used it today to cut through a thicker piece of wood covered in vinyl flooring. The wood and vinyl combined were the exact max depth of the blade, so I expected it would have to work hard to get through it. On and off it would smoke from heat so I'd let it cool off and startup again. Then, the motor just died. Total use before it killed the motor was about 5 minutes. Clearly the blade was too large for my dremmel to handle. Like using the engine of a small sedan inside a tractor trailer. My dremmel is a corded variable speed 75th aniversary edition dremel, not sure which model number.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Killed my Dremel I purchased this attachment yesterday. I went to use it this morning and it had a lot of trouble (binding) making simple cuts in thin wood. I shut my Dremel off to take a quick break, and when I went to turn it on, it showed no signs of life. My Dremel has run flawlessly for years up until using this attachment for 10 minutes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from spinning guard I m not sure why Dremel doesn't have longer support hours but I attached the 670 according to instructions, re read the instructions and disassembled and reassembled the attachment and the guard still spins around . The instructional pamphlet has no troubleshooting page and now my project cannot be completed tonight as planned.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from OK product I bought this to cut 1/8" wood board. It's easy to attach and use. The blade even cuts well, but the problem is the blade is too narrow and the wood will bind and of course the dremel will seize. I actually fried one Dremel because it seizes so much.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from sometimes a very useful tool. but not perfect. I have had this tool for a while. When it is useful it is great. You do need to tighten it onto the tool. The two things it could use are a marker for the cut centerline and a depth of cut limiting mechanism.. It us tricky to use it with a straight edge for cuts since the guard projects below the housing. Just need thicker guide. My biggest problem is that I lost the manual and it is not available online.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from something is wrong Extremely disappointed. I dont not use heavy power tools. Like a table saw etc... I love my dremel, however I purchased the Dremel mini- saw attachment 670. and like others mine spins also. I realize it needs to move some but mine spins so much that it spun 180 degree and my blade was face up and my speed control (on/off) switch was still facing up. I have installed and reinstalled attachment to ensure it is correct and it is. If I contiune to use I will end up cutting myself. PLEASE HELP I HAVE DEADLINES
