SteelStik can withstand temperatures up to 300 degrees fahrenheit, you should be able to use this item for this application as long as the temperature doesn't get above that.

Fixed Pool Filter & Vac
Friend at work told me about how well this worked for him(fixed crack in toilet and screens inside DE pool filter). I had a slight crack in my Hayward cartridge pool filter at the pressure gauge and a cracked plastic arm on my Hayward pool vac. I cleaned both with a dremel wire brush to scuff up surface and cleaned with acetone. I used nitrile gloves and mixed by hand. In both cases I built up the surface to beef up the area and let it dry for an hour after which it was hard to touch. Put both in service and they both are still holding after a few hours. Saved me $100s in parts. We'll see how long it holds.

Solved leaking water tank for dehumidifier
Reservoir tank for my dehumidifier developed small 1'' crack in its bottom [typical plastic quality]. Tank started to leak once less than one third full due to weight of water forcing through the fine crack. Unit itself still worked fine. So tried this repair putty and so far the crack is sealed and the reservoir tank is holding till normal fullness is reached. Only question now is how long the repair holds up against normal usage for removing and re-installing the tank after draining.
Con comment applies to the chemical odor prior to hardening. Once the putty is set and hardened, there is no more odor.

Very solid and easy to use
I have a standing lamp that has a 5 foot pole. It came apart at the base and the threads were stripped so I could not repair it. I got some of this kwik weld and it exceeded my expectations. I followed the simple directions. Mixed it on paper and applied it with a flat wooden stick. Popsicle stick is perfect. Then I smoothed it with my fingers. It was black for a black lamp so that was perfect too. I washed my hands immediately and they came clean with no problems. I let it cure for 24 hours and it felt strong and firm. I then put lamp back to use.
This was 8 months ago and it is just like new! Use this and it will work. I can't wait to use it for another project!

This stuff is awesome!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the process of installing an electric fan kit on my Jeep, I accidentally punched, not one, but two nasty birdshot-sized holes in my nearly brand new radiator. My dad did a little research and found this stuff. I bought a tube, kneaded bit together and sealed up the holes. Gave it about an hour and a half to set up, just to be sure. WOW! I am amazed at how hard it cured up and holds pressure. If this stuff will hold up to being used on a radiator, I am sold! Keeping the rest of the tube in the glovebox.

WORKS LIKE IT SHOULD!
I have used this in the middle of noware to seal a 6 inch split in a gas tank that was draining out and I had no reserve or container to catch it.
Mixed it up and applied to dirty tank and stopped the leak almost at once, hard enough to drive out in 15 minutes.
Got home and dropped tank to repair right, had to GRIND all of it off to clean surface of tank for proper adhesion. (Filled tank with water for grinding.)
Never leaked for the next 5 years I drove that car.

Cheap easy bulkhead repair
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] WaterWeld is a great product if you know what to use it for. It will easily mend any pipe (that is not under pressure) and will save you loads of time and money for repairs you aren't ready to do just yet.
Just pinch off the amount you need, blend it in your hand, and cover the area the needs to be mended. It is self adhering and can hold a few hundred pounds. It can also be painted (coat it with a metal primer first) and it blends right into the original surface.
My favorite use for J-B Weld is to patch rusted out bulkhead doors. After it dries you can sand and paint it, saving yourself hundreds of dollars on a new bulkhead door.

Works great
I used this to patch up some hair line cracks in my toilet tank. I patched them from the inside of the tank and am just using this as a temporary fix while I find a replacement tank. That being said, this stuff is good. I did not attempt to apply this while the tank was full of water. Rather I emptied it and dried it out over night before applying. Kneeding the material is fine, though the contrast between the two colors needs improvement. Just err on the side of caution and over kneed this for about 3-5 minutes. Really get into it, tear it up, roll it around. Use gloves. I cleaned and sanded the spots on the inside of the tank, it adhered well. It dried rock hard in about an hour. No leaks.

Great Stuff
I used this to fix a hole in the bottom of my dishwasher. The machine heating element burnt a hole in the bottom over time and water started to leak over the kitchen floor. The material was very easy to use, cured quickly and plugged the hole completely. This simple fix saved me from having to buy a new dishwasher. Worked as advertised, good stuff.
