The cartridge cracked after two years of use. Unfortunately, Lowes does not carry it, but you can find it online for under $11. The part number is GP1017426. You could appeal to Kohler for the lifetime warranty, but it seemed to be a hassle.
1. pry off the small screw cover on the back of the handle
2. use an allen wrench to remove the set screw
3. pull the handle straight up, might be stuck over time, might have to pry it up
4. remove/unscrew decorative bonnet ring by hand, a rubber glove helps
5. unscrew holding nut, use a wrench
6. pull the cartidge straight up, might have to wiggle it out
Reverse the steps to install the new cartridge.

would not buy again
Bought this faucet in may 09 to compliment the new countertops installed. I thought it was a little pricy but decided to buy it anyways. It looks really good and functions really well. The only problem i have with it is that the pull down sprayer does not stay in place when shutting off the water. It seems to not have enough weight behind it or just a poor design. I am looking into getting one with a magnet. Overall its a good faucet but for the price it should have come with a built in magnet or heavier weight.

Nice product with problems
We've had this faucet for about a year. We really love the pull-down sprayer, but like others have mentioned the head drops 1/4" or so when you shut off the water. I contacted Kohler about that. They said it shouldn't do that and sent me another complete faucet. However, that didn't solve the problem, which is aggravating. Seems a heavier weight on the hose would solve the problem.
We bought the soap dispenser as well, and love the look and convenience of the three independent pieces on the sink.
Another problem is the switch on the sprayer. It has never been a hard click between the spray and the regular stream, but over time (a short period of time!) it didn't do a good job of cleanly switching between the two types of water flow. Counting the replacement of the entire faucet, I'm on my fourth sprayer head.
This is a great faucet in theory. Unfortunately, the execution is lacking.
