KOHLER Devonshire Widespread Bathroom Sink Faucet with Lever Handles - Chrome is rated

It works great and is handsome to look at
The Art Deco look of the Devonshire faucet goes perfectly with older 1940's style baths. It feels sturdy in weight and operates smoothly. The polished chrome finish is flawless and the hot and cold water handles are symmetrical in the off position. It came with a metal overflow tube and chrome plated brass tailpiece so when mounted on a pedestal sink it looks classy if the drain is visible. Installation is straightforward as far as faucets go. I used the brass compression nuts to connect the faucet with chrome plated copper water supply line for a clean look. It is quiet. It doesn't hiss excessively or "sing." The water flow is fine for my purposes but it's no pressure washer.
I'm glad I chose to spend the extra money on the Kohler faucet over the cheaper well known brands.

A nice faucet, some work to install
Found this faucet at a very good price on the Lowes web site It is well made, attractive, and operates smoothly. There were some issues with installing it. The faucet is fastened by screwing plastic nuts on the threaded pipes under the faucet. However, the threads do not go all the way up, about a quarter inch at the top does not have threads. This is probably fine if you have a thick ceramic, marble, or large gage metal sink. However, my sink was a very thin steel. The nut could not get high enough to make a snug fit, the gap above the nut was too large (see picture). I had to find a large washer to put above the plastic nut in order to fill in the gap and make a tight fit (picture). Also, my sink has the holes very close to the inside edge. When the faucet was installed, the middle curve on the base sticks out over the inside edge (picture). You may wish to check your sink before buying this faucet, to see if it is thick enough, and if the holes are far enough from the inside edge.

I gave this faucet a "good" value because it was relatively expensive. Our 17 year old faucet broke. This was the replacement. A handyman installed it, so I cannot speak to ease of installation. It operates very smoothly--no problems so far.
